UHMP

Has anyone used UHMP (Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene) before because in papasteeze's "The Basics of Build a Jib" thread, it said that most resorts used this stuff.

it looks pretty cheep if you buy it in 1'X5' sections.

buy it in 1/2in strips cause then its thick and much easyer to countersink cause that is cheep........if your going to buy that thats my advice

remember this is sold by the foot. so its going to be around $111 for a 10 foot by 1 foot strip of it

it says in the description that it is sold in 5 ft sections though.

yea if you get 10 feet of it you get 2 5ft pieces

actually you're right, i emailed them and they said that you can only buy them in five foot sectioins, but their price is by foot even though they dont sell the UHMP by foot, so you have to pay like $55 for a five foot piece, which is way too expensive
