His new single "Sexyback" or whatever the hell it's called thoroughly proves that the public has horrible taste in music. Pop music is such a fucking waste. I mean, come on, I didn't even know it was him singing the song until last week. So superficial...he's got some weird-ass filter on his voice THE WHOLE SONG. Now I'm ok with some of the song, but this is so ridiculous. It's just shit.
 
Ok, and I didn't mean to judge the whole album by that song. But the outlook isn't good.

Then again I don't even really like rap (sacrelig, I know), so maybe I'm the one with bad taste in music.
 
I could see if you like sheepishly admitted that listening to him was a guilty pleasure or something, but trying to convince us stable-minded people that he is actually "good" is just ludacris.
 
you've yet to say on what grounds he is not "good"

just because someone is a pop artist doesn't mean he has talent.

1. he writes his own material

2. he co-produced this album

3. he is involved in the entire process from start to packaging

 
I stand corrected, he is good... at making terrible music. and this is obviously my opinion cuz I realize there isn't a good and bad kind of music.
 
i like how close-minded people are about music anymore.

its not like my favorite artists are all mainstream pop artists.

but people don't even give anything outside of what they consider to be their "genre" of music

umm i have a pretty damn ecclectic (sp?) taste in music, just about everyone finds someting on my ipod to make fun of. I just dont like justin timberlake cuz his music that I've heard is all mindless crap, a lot like "mainstream" rap, except less catchy and fun to listen to.

its 1 thing to say. hey this song is actually ok, but then to go and try to convince me jt is awesome, the line has been crossed.
 
Word, some of his songs may be decent, or even good...but him in general...well, I get the feeling he'd be a douchebag, but alot of rich as famous people are, so whatever.
