Uhh Boulder smartest city in America?

That's just because all the hippies in Boulder never leave. There is no reason for them too. Therefore, 60% of the town has a bachelors, even if they are all stoned out of their mind while they bitch at anyone who supports capitalism or opposes Al Gore.

Haha, I got stopped by someone who said "Excuse me, do you have a moment for the environment?"

I said no and she followed me for a good 50 yards telling me that I should be ashamed, go to hell, die, etc.

I'm seriously thinking about driving my mom's Chevy 2500HD with a kit around Pearl St. Oh and I might even install a gun rack in the back window, and throw a couple Bush Cheney stickers on the bumper while I'm at it. What a good laugh that would be.

this is what you need too.

hahahah i think i am going to order one ^^

and then make sure to wear it in some very liberal circles of friends, (a conversation starter:)

I really want my shirt now. The guy I'm dating is a liberal, but we both keep are mouths pretty shut. Maybe I need to be an obnoxious conservative now.

best part about boulder is the "alternative fuel" parking spots that are even closer than handicap, I always park in them with my diesel and am waiting to get a ticket or something, just so i can go to court and chew somebody out.
but more on topic, shouldn't the smartest town be Cambridge or Berkley or Providence or something

Diesel is an alternative fuel, especially here in America where less than 5 percent of cars sold are diesel. They are more efficient, more powerful, and the fuel should cost less, up until the past two-three years when the companies saw an increase in demand. Diesel is better than gas, its much, much better than ethanol, and the resources that go into manufacturing a diesel car are much less harmful than those that go into manufacturing a hybrid. The only better alternative to diesel is a hydrogen car, which is not yet available or affordable. So I am totally justified in parking in the alternative fuel parking spot and if somebody tries to say something against it they better have a damn good argument because if they so much as mention corn, they are immediately disqualified as having any worthwhile opinion.

Thats such a shitty way to measure intelligence. Cuz no offense but university of colorado at boulder is not like an elite school. I would have to think cambridge, boston would be the smartest city due to the colleges there like harvard mit BC BU northeastern etc.

that article also claims boulder as the most "Green" city in America. what kind of bullshit is that? I see more suvs driving around here than in denver or any other metro city. plus people shop at whole foods, which is basically the biggest joke I've ever walked in to. except their cheese selection, which is amazing.

Are you kidding me? Glenn Beck is a fucking retard. I have to read his book, "An Inconvenient Book" for this class I am taking and the guy is an idiot. He tries to prove all these ridiculous points, and thinks he is genius when his book looks like a fricken kids menu.

I had a diesel once, i loved driving it to Boulder. Everyone looked at me lwith anger. It was awesome. Boulder does have some hot school girls there though. I lvoe to party in Boulder.

You obviously don't listen to him and don't know anything about him. Maybe you should listen to his radio show. He's mostly a comedian. Read it with an open mind. Get back to me on that.

I was just in Boulder the other day visiting the college and chilling with a buddy. Tons of hippies around.

On a side note, in the half-fast sub shop, I saw an empire sticker on the garbage can. All I could think of was "who on NS put this here". Then I saw another one on a stop sign. So, did someone on NS do this, I think it would be cool to know.

exactly, he gives his opinion on the days events and news, (i agree with him most of the time) he speaks his mind, thinks for himself and doesn't follow party lines...

no shit, except I was saying that last year when everybody was getting the DP from corn in the ass and al gore in the mouth

I'm pretty sure Simon Dumont has a place here because I saw him in Target a couple months ago. So... i think one of his crew put those up. i know where you're talkin about too, I drive by it all the time

Dude, that kid doesn't want to live up here.

Whoever said that thing about Glenn...you're absolutely right. He just says what he wants and I like what he says.

olenick the cradle robber has a place on the hill that simon hangs out at. you gotta get up on your boulder gossip

You are getting Bio-Deisel, Diesel, and Bio-Fuels mixed up and confused. It is about 4.6 megajoules more powerful than typical gasoline, but it also results in about 15% more gaseous emissions, 17% more heat produced, and up to 25% more oil to produce a gallon of diesel than a gallon of gasoline. Bio Diesel is a mix of diesel and vegatable oils. They produce less emissions, but in cold temperatures, bio-diesel mixes tend to degrade the hardware in the car (Engines, tubes and pistons) and below 28 degrees farenheit, biodiesel jellifies, making it impossible to drive. Biomass and Bio-Fuels just make your car smell like french fries and corrode your engine in a new york minute.

Hydrogen fuel cells are not available yet. Period. They can't make feul cells big enough or efficient enough to be a practical car for americans.

I do agree with your point about Hybrids though.

People, HYBRIDS ARE NOT ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY.

It may take emphasis on gas, but the 30 batteries in the car more than make up for the impact the gas would have on the environment. Battery acid doesn't fucking break down.

FCX commercially available this summer in california.. bmw's hydrogen 7 already available.. it runs by combusting the hydrogen instead of converting to electricity, which is more practical at the current time because it can run off gas or hydrogen, a true hybrid.

Biodiesel sucks in older cars and cold places, so not really for me. Diesel emits less carbon-dioxide. less carbon-dioxide=less "global warming" if you believe Al Gore, and even then, consider that in China alone coal fires release more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than all of America's emissions combined.

Ah Boulder, the elite of the mediocre. Just because you have a BA in humanities doesn't mean you are smart. I can puke anywhere in the streets, but they will give you a ticket for not shoveling your walkway. The hippy problem doesn't even compare to the bro problem there. By far the most bros per capita in any school outside of CA.
