I think i have developed a severe case of addiction to skiing. A lot of people on ns probably have. I go into withdrawal when I cant ski. Normally i am able to only ski once a week because I am still in highschool and have very high academic standards for myself. I am still 15 so i cant drive there alone. Living an hour away from the nearest ski hill (troll) doesn't help. Its the middle of December and I have only gone 4X. Now I was gone go skiing but TROLLHAUGEN IS CLOSED TOMORROW SO I CANT GO. Thats 2 weeks I have to wait in between two ski trips. It's probably just the weather this season but its depressing. Last year I had 25 days which isn't that bad but if this year ends short its gonna suck. #midwestlyfe

Is it a lot better out west?
 
You've only gone skiing 4 times this year? At Trollhaugen, which has some of the best parks in the midwest?

Dude I've been skiing once this year. At big boulder. I drove 5 hours just to wait in a long ass lift line, and hit a down rail.

It was 70 degrees in Pittsburgh today. I wore shorts and a T shirt. I turned the AC in my car on.....It's the middle of Decmber. My mountain has no clue when they will open. Normally, I'd be skiing right now as I type this post.

I was going to go to snowshoe WV today but I got slammed with a 2,000 word essay.

You went to trollhaugen and not Granite?

Yeah same addiction as you but usually get to ski 4-5 times a week +1-2 weeks out west a year. Trashed my shoulder and now just hoping to get a few days on skis before snows gone this year. Absolutely killing me
 
i feel your pain OP I'm recovering from knee surgery currently and between my last time skiing, and the next time i go skiing it will be well over a year
 
If anybody here does, I feel you. I live to far south for snow and i only get to ski 1 or 2 weeks out of the year by traveling, and im not old enough to move somewhere else

Yeah, anybody that drives that far for Granite this year is crazy. They might never open 100% or have any bigger jumps for this season.
