there is also this thing called duty. this is different from a country's standard taxes.

basically if Saga makes their gear in China you have to pay a surcharge to bring the product into Canada. it doesn't matter if it came from a US retailer, you are still paying duties.

now, Saga is probably handling everything for you and charging you duty before they ship it. this way your gear doesn't get stuck in customs.

sometimes your stuff gets through without having to pay duty depending on how the customs official feels that day. other days, it gets hung up and you get stuck with a sometimes hefty charge when they are delivering your stuff and you can't have it until you pay for it.

I bought a glidecam from B&H. Like $600 NZD shipped, and no customs charges. Then I got a tripod head and microphone- boom $180 import tax. Shits fucked in NZ

Canadian Orders

We are always working to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Shipping internationally is one of our biggest challenges. In order to serve our Canadian Customers better, we have created a simple flat rate fee that includes all customs taxes, tariffs, and duties. This means that packages will arrive at your door with no extra hassle. The price you pay at checkout is the final price. No more surprise fees or charges at time of delivery. Shipping is still free for orders over $299. We cover the transit costs; you only pay duties and taxes.

With this service, you are receiving the best package track-ability, meaning no more confusion with package location during transit. Along with better tracking, you are receiving a faster service all around, with door-to-door delivery times around 1-2 weeks or less, as opposed to the 2-4 weeks like we have seen in the past.

Shipping is provided by UPS. No service to P.O. Box addresses.

For P.O. Box addresses please choose the USPS shipping option during checkout. With this option, we are not able to cover your customs duties and taxes ahead of time. If this option is chosen, you will receive a refund for your taxes paid and then will still be required to pay these costs to the postal carrier prior to delivery.

No worries man. We agree customs duties are a pain in the ass and seem a bit steep often. We are working with select international retail to help improve the Saga experience for our international customers.

Posting threads like this calling it grade 10 makes me think of trailer park boys haha. Btw saga is to be worn huge I hope u are planning on not growing considering u clearly won't want to buy again any time soon...

Nick go with the large. trust me, everything you buy go with large. your gunna grow and your gunna be mad once your saga shit no longer fits tall

I'm 6'2" and i got large and its just about perfect for me. I am really skinny so i didnt want it too baggy. it fits halfway down to my knees

and all my dealings with Saga have been wonderful experiences. they are always helpful and willing to fix issues anyway possible. and they make legit stuff

This. I love that brand to death. I have a red Varsity in xl from last year and it held up pretty great. Only rips in it are from my satanic cat who decided it would be funny to chew a little hole in the butt. Nevertheless I love how Saga does not hesitate to get into threads like this and explain themselves. They seem to have open doors for their customers, which is what the ski industry needs.
