i skied 5 days this week, 5 days this season total too, just because i go to college in ohio.

i bought SPK's and seriously, i have never had worse shinbang then with these boots. Does that mean they are too big? too small? too tight? too loose? all i know, is that my feet are KILLING ME.

what should i do!

well, keep the inside liner as tight as you can, these are probably the best boots to prevent shinbang. I love mine

If the boot is too loose around your shin it can cause shin bang. Eventhugh you have all that padding around, your shin is still "banging" on the tounge every time you flex. Your shins can also hur tif you are skiing too much in the backseat. In this case the bone that is your shin is flexing, yes, the bone can flex.

does anyone feel like the laces are too short and the tounge cant be pulled out far enought, like its hard to get in the boots, but once im in its perfect, and i mean a correct fit

yeah shinbang shouldn't normally be a problem with boots that fit well, my spks never get shinbang and fit perfectly once they were broken in, you may wanna go to a bootfitter and see what they can do to them.

Real Booster straps should help, as well as a proper fit.

I don't know about the SPK. I think they would be too flexy for me, but that might not be true.

get to a bootfitter man, nobody here can see how the boots fit.

outside of your skiing style, generally shinbang would arise from boots being too big, if anything.

isnt ur thread about how to buy the correct fitting boot, not how to fix shinbang? i meen its a sickk thread, but its not the answer to all boot threads....simple bootfitter should solve ur problem, a thread cant teach u how to make ur boot fit better.

if your getting shin bang its because your boots dont fit properly, so he could have eliminated this problem if you bought boots that fit his foot from the start

You can still get shinbang with proper fitting boots, although 9/10 times it'll be because of improper fits.

And I doubt a booster straps gonna fix all his problems. My bootfitter just pulled my powerstrap on my Rampages under most outside plastic tongue and told me that's how a booster straps gonna make it feel. Although Booster straps are stretchable if I'm correct so I guess it'll make some difference from a power strap.

yea the booster strap has an elastic component so whether your are flexing the boot or not, your boot is always tight on your calf. not something that can be properly mimicked from just a power strap.

i think i have the same problem, i find it really difficult to physicaly get my foot into the boot, i cant angle my foot enough for the 'L' shaped bit of the boot, does this mean they're too small, or is it normal with new boots and i just have to keep using them to wear them in?

Take a blowdryer, hold it inside the boot for like 10 minutes then put them on and wear them while you hang out on here. I did that with mine and they fit greeat now. I'm too poor for a boot fitter.

Just be careful you don't keep the dryer in there too long cause it heats up when the air doesn't have room to circulate air, which causes a huge fire hazard right in your hands and in your boots.

CRAZY.

my spks fit real well, but if im too lazy to tighten the and hit jumps with em loose i'll get shin bang. keep em nice n snug.

they mould a little differently to when they were new, but I reheated a pair of mine which had 30 or so days on them and they remoulded fine?

I wasn't talking about footbed. Liners. And the SPK has the cheap liner anyway I think that's just the tongue heat moldable.

so just watch out for fires? also, when i put them on theres quite a bit of pressure on the bottom of my leg, start of my foot type area..anyone else get this? i tried putting liners from my old boot into the spk and it felt a lot nicer, no pressure or anything, should i stick with this or use the spk liners and break them in
