Hey, I am going to Davis next year and was wondering if anyone else on this sight is going or is there right now.

How often do you guys ski, and where, also how's SOS. What dorm should I live in? anything else you want to tell me would be cool too.

You should definitely join sos in the fall; best club on campus. going to whistler in december after finals. you can schedule your classes on tuesday-thursday or mon/wed/fri and ski 50 days if you really want to. most people have alpine passes and ski there. cuarto and segundo dorms are mostly nice, tercero is not; it's by the university cow farm. you're gonna have a great time

just don't get stuck in regan if you're in segundo . . . primero, the new infill dorms - go for those

 
and don't sign up for any classes with friday or saturday finals . . . we're getting screwed by the regents this year and getting out a week later than the other UCs . . . hence the whistler trip while the other schools are going to telluride . . . we're leaving on friday I think

 
hey my bro is at davis right now, Im headed there in a year...I have to finish my last year at community college first, blah, anyways he was in SOS he was telling me so many stories, they went to Big Sky last year, he said it was awsome!! so hey when I get there maybe Ill see ya!Davis is a cool school, what are you majoring in?

I'm thinking environmental science. but i'm in the lib arts college right now. I'm gonna play it by ear.

Davis is definitely the best school to be at in Northern California for skiing-- it's close to tahoe and close to the bay area (not for skiing, obviously) I go there and am about to graduate next year, but plan on moving to tahoe for a winter. I definitely would reccommend squaw or alpine for season passes (depending on your budget-- squaw is better) Along with SOS there are a lot of other clubs that do make trips... as lame as this sounds i'm in a sorority there and we go on trips to my cabin a lot. So whether or not you do SOS, there are a lot of options for trips... and he's right-- quarto and segundo are the best dorms... don't fuck around with tercero

 
in mad trix you can ski in SF I hear the skiing is pretty good there.
