Uber booter bash

fuck, im not here, so my contest outlook is looking grim this season, which sucks cause i have a bunch of new tricks, guess im stuck building schools in nicaragua over sping break. next year i'll do more.

Sory, Ryan I heard that only Snr. Alanzos group is building schools, the rest will be on a joint project of remaking their sewer system so basicaly you will be digging trenches in crap for two weeks while some spanish speeking drug lord watches you.

The Summit at Snoqualmie presents the first annual Alpental Uber Booter Bash April 8 & 9. This backcountry big-air contest will showcase a hand built terrain park sized “uber booter” set in the amazing Alpental backcountry. Why hand-built? Because you can’t get a groomer out there. Why in the backcountry? Because it sounded rad and we love to shovel.

Boards fly on Sat and skis get some on Sun. Cost is $30 and yes helmets are required. Register from 8-9:30 in the Alpental Lodge. Under 18 requires a parent’s signature. Classes are Pro, Am and Women’s. Discounted lift tickets are available for competitors. The exact location of the event will be determined by weather and backcountry conditions.

The Uber Booter would not be possible without the support of K2 Snowboards, Sessions, Ogio, Frequency -The Snowboarder’s Journal, Freeskier Magazine and the Alpental Pro Patrol.

ah, might as well show up, its not like I have a job or anything. We're gonna have to sideslip the landing like crazy.

just went and checked it out today. the jump is 9 feet tall and like 20 feet wide. its about 30 to the knuckle and maybe 45 to the end of the sweet spot. looks like fun. yay.

if the weather is like today, there's no way i'm doin it. but if it's not as wet i'll be up.

It's a tough jump to land shit, but it is a backcountry jump so I guess that's fair.

Too bad you didnt show up Chris. 4 of us signed up and supposedly if we had a 5th it was a go. Wouldda been a lot of prizes to share between 5 people is what I heard.

kinda funny that you say that because I showed up at like 9:40 and nobody was in the lodge so I went up to the jump and Krush and some other guys were there working on the igloo and he told me it was canceled. I was planning on doing it, I was just late.

I'm sure they'll save the shwag for next year

Crazy, didn't know that. I was in the office about that time and Krush came over the radio and said that if a 5th signed up, they would do it. Whatever, it wouldn't be much to brag about between 4-5 people. A patrol told me that someone is supposedly filming it on Weds. during the day... If that's even true, I guess they will be hiking cause the lifts are only running on weekends now.
