SFU is easier to get into than UBC, and yes, the rails are sickter. Whatever you want, you can find, whether it's an easy 14 stair downhill rail, or 25 ft. quad kink, or a huge, steep, gnarly, wooden rail with a few kinks. Just make sure to sack up, because almost none of them have an easy way out to bail to if you're not comitted.
If you're too lazy to bring snow up, or it's not snowing for real, breaking into the pool and having a little dive session is really really easy. Or longboard races in the parking garage adjacent to the gym/WMX complex. Or Madge House, the all girls rez
In conclusion, you really can't go wrong with either UBC or SFU, but SFU does have advantages, and getting to whistler is easier.
SFU SKI kills it.
