UBC Okanagan students?

Considering transfering to UBC-O for next year. Anyone go there/know people who go there?

I'm mainly concerned about the social life there. Its pretty much in the middle of nowhere, so what do students do for parties etc.? Whats life in residence like?

Any info would be nice. Thanks.
 
kelowna is a solid party city, good social scene going on for sure. always partys and shows on campus too so its not that bad. the campus itself is pretty much in kelowna, 8 min bus ride to central town, 20 to downtown and the clubs, you'd like it.
 
I go there now, I am still partying from last night. Clubs are a bitch to get to, and some dec partying off res, but the res parties in the first few months are EPIC. Dec campus bar, only REALLY busy a few days a semester, but gets pretty fun. its a good party school, rooms are big and all single rooms so i'd say a win.
 
I would highly suggest it, I did my first year there. Im assuming skiing is your jam so you can get a dual mountain pass to Silver Star and Big White for like 549 and its only 450ish mins to both. As far as schooling goes its pretty darn good. Nice campus and good profs. The city of kelowna is sick for partying, and there is an excellent dubstep/electro scene (Kelowna Dubstep etc.. if you like that sorta thing)
 
This. I moved from just outside of surrey (brown people everywhere) and it's weird seeing so many white people
