UBC Mechanical Engineering

They put a VW beetle on top of the clock tower last week, that was pretty cool.

Meanwhile the history department sits in a dark room, beer in hand.

Really fucking hard, be prepared for 6-7 course semesters throughout your degree. Extremely well respected school though and the program is top notch. Kids in it are typical engineer masterrace dicks or non english speaking chinks

Its fine. All engineering is fine. Its standardized to the tits because its engineering so basically just go where you want to live or get the most money.

Ignore it when people say "asian" because thats ALL engineering. BUT, all eng programs, regardless of school, have awesome spirit, drink heavily, and have tons of awesome events like concrete toboggan and concrete canoe, and all kinds of conferences you can get involved with.

I'm doing chemical at uOttawa and was just at the great northern concrete toboggan race, and all the out west schools seemed like fun. UBCO stood out more for spirit in my opinion, but either way you'll have fun.

i was deferred to okanagan, kinda tempted to go and transfer to vancouver 2nd year. in the end i didn't even go.

Is there a huge difference in the programs at UBC vs UBCO? I would rather live in Kelowna than Vancouver. This is all just speculation though.

I mean the quality of the programs. I should do some real research but this way I'm able to continue dicking around on NS.

I fucking hate crowds - why I want to leave salt lake
