U.S. Open Worth it?

well only go if you really wanna win....or at least think have a chance of making the finals.

well i have a pss there but doesn't it cost 100$ plus im not to great yet i know that it would be a great learning experiance so any imput from those that were in a similar situation would be great

do it and get one under your belt its a good experience for any skier go out and set a goal for yourself and take it from there

if you cannot spell compete you are doomed to fail not only at the u.s. open, but in life. please delete this thread.

hey thanks man doomed for life or i don't care if i spell evrything right b/c i don't have the time Y just wanna find out the price

I don't know but if you can afford it, go for it. Seriously I think you'd have the time of your life regardless of how you do. Plus you get to chill with the big boys.

yeah dude if you can afford to have a season pass to vail and live near it then i would definitely do it if you have a chance of qualifying.

YES the Open is most definatly worth it. It cost $200 but the experience competing with the pros. Your run could be right before or after your favorite pro. DO IT

by doing it and not taking it seriously you are taking a spot from someone who could be waiting for their chance to blow up. save comps like these for skiers that have a good shot

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and make the assumption that he either:

A. Already competed. Or...

B. Didn't already compete.

i watched 1 of your videos.. its the one titled "edit no slo mo" you got some steezy stuff, but unless you got a lot better i'd say hold off on the u.s. open another year..

itll be worth the experience you will meet way nice and kewl people learn how it is sompeting with the big names and you will be able to give advice to people like me who are very young and will wait a little longer.

i predict the us open will fail finacially and vail will drop it due to lack of profit. it is a terible thing to say but the future looks rough for the open. just some solid rumor making.

If your really good enough, it will put you right in the spot light. It all depends.

OR... you could go because you really love the rush taht competing gives you and you love the atmosphere.

You don't have to WIN to have a really good time there.

aaah im getting quoted from 11 months ago... i think i stand by that though after seeing what the slopestyle course was like last year anyway.
