I know stuff has been posted on universities close to skiing before but i can't find a good university in canada with a good business program. I was looking at u of utah and it looks like they have a good business school. does anyone know for sure? do they offere a bcomm program or only the b admin? also how far away is it from the ski hills.

and being mormon doesnt automatically make you a goody goody bitch, im not lds but i know a lot and believe me if you meet the right people they no how to have a good time no mattter waht religion they are.

 
Best choice in a school you could make, half an hour away from tons of resorts. and plus you have the rail gardens, thats reason enough to move there.

yeah the Business school is good, but very competative. and the morman thing isn't an issue unless you are to immature and have to make it an issue to act hard. it is a bit more chill than some places, like say chicago where I'm from, but it is the best skiing.

I know that symms is on full academic and he must maintain a 3.7 gpa. that is for full tuition.

seriously a full academic scolorship for a 3.70 gpa? how do they score the gpa's? because i have a 3.40 right now and i dont even try. and in my business courses i have all 4.0gpa's. oh and UBC is opening up a okenogan campus... what are some good mountains in that region? fernie?

to anyone butching about mormons, your fuckin stupid. i was at SLC last summer, and mormon chicks top any girl ive ever seen in my life. they are so hot. as another bonus, at 18, most of the mormon dudes leave to try to convert people. so you have a ton of super hot chicks, and no guys.

But for most of those mormon chicks, if they're not married to you, the won't fuck you. But some are all about it. To quote my ski coach,'I got raped by a mormon girl once.' And he said it with a strait face. Whatever, im going to U of U because the skiing is almost close to the quality of Jackson, and PC has a pretty good park with lots of rippers, even if their pants are around there knees and the have fur on the jackets, i still love them.

that was funny^. the u of u's gpa is a A is 4 B 3 C2 D1 F0. the problem with the business school is that there are a lot of people so you have to keep you rgpa way high all the time.

you cannot get a full academic scholarship to the U with a 3.7 gpa...thats just what you have to maintain so you don't lose the scholarshi...i had a 3.8 with pretty good sat scores, and the best i could get was the W.U.E scholarship, which gets you in-state tuition + 1/2....you need probably need very close a 4.0 gpa and very good sat scores

.....and the mormon race is a very attractive one. SLC is a way tight place to live. it has most the nice aspects of a big city, minus the shithole, over-crowded, ghetto bullshit of other big cities. and if you are basing where you go to college on skiing more than the majority religion of the region, then go U of U. there is no better college for skiing in north america than U of U, hands down.

yes just to make a few comments about the topic. i have been to utah twice and both were amazing times, some of the best skiing i have ever had. there are about 7 ski hills under an hour drive from salt lake city. i have talked with a few people that went to the U of utah and they said that once you are on campus, the moromons are vertually non existant. the only reason that morons get a bad rap from kids is because of drinking. but that really doesnt affect the locals because they can still buy beer, just not on sunday i beleive. And like it was said before the mormon chicks are really fine.

as far as tuition goes i beleive out of state is like 10,000. which is the cheapest i have ever found, boulder being 35,000. and i think instate is like 5,000. so with or without schollarships they college is very resonible. and did i mention some of the best skiing in north america!

 
yea I'm outta state and I took 30 credits this year and it cost me a little over 11,000. but next year im getting a full ride through the Air Force. The skiing is off the hook though, you can't go wrong going here, good academics, skiing, beautiful campus, nice city,some of the best mt. biking trails right above campus. You don't even notice the mormons there. the only way you would notice them is if you went to the temple. So all in all it's a good school.

 
Don't expect your average college experience when you come here though. The on-campus housing is almost as far away as the off-campus housing that I live in. It's mostly commuters and a large number of the students are instilled with the LDS values of working hard and getting a good job to support thier spouses (nothing wrong with that, but it U of U doesnt come stock with your typical college party animals, coming into classes wasted, college bars with girls who would just as soon take you into the bathroom and have rowdy sex than to date you, etc.) If that is what you are looking for, seek elsewhere. But if you want some sick skiing and a good edu, come here.

I live in the dorms and there is drinking and smoking every night, even though its not allowed! The dorms are great, right on campus, and the co-ed floors are sweet, bunch on hot mormon girls in my bulding! UofU kills it for sure!

thought i would bring the thread back up to the top. In a junior right now, ski season is sadly over so i thought i would start checking out a few schools. I was wondering what some peoples opinions about the university are that currently attend. Is there a very big social scene with parties? or is it more low key with kids off doing there own thing? basically im looking for a great school that has a good price (which utah is), amazing skiing (utah some of the best in the world) but basically whats holding me back is the party scene right now

 
where do you guys at the U have passes to? Or where to you usually ride? How do you afford to go to different places all the time if you do? or are there specail college rates?

 
the majority of mormon girls are hot, because they breed hot girls to bring in more men to convert over to their religion, but they arent a problem here, everyone says oh no mormons, but its a college still great parties,people, and skiing

all close resorts have college passes. skiers go to PC alta snowbird and some to brighton and canyons. boarders mainly go to brighton and PC. the best are alta/bird or PC for park.
