- and yes i Search Bared

from what i hear its the best school for the closest/best skiing, but pretty lacking in the parties, but skiings better than parties anyway

very legit.

all you eastcoasters move to utah. forget the casecade concrete of the PNW, and please infest... err.. occupy utah.

thanks.

If you know the right people, you can find parties all the time. Over the past 6 weeks i've been here i've been to atleast one keg every weekend, and i've drank atleast 3 days of the week either at a party or in the dorms. If you want to party here, then you can.

As for the mormons, truth is they stay away from you if you stay away from them and they are actually really nice people and actually do good things for utah in general so it's all good.

Yea, it is the same qualifications as getting into University of Phoenix/ ITT Tech, all you need is a check book. If you are getting a 2.5 in HS and 850 on your SATs, is it really worth wasting your parent's money for out of state tuition? Just to a local cc, $20 a unit and that way if you fail out, you don't have the drive home of shame across the country.

I wish i lived in state for UoU, because tuition is under 5g's. Its like 16k for everyone else, so its not that bad.

i know its a fucking steal for college haha plus you can ski alot.

im mean coming from maryland i will probly nut at the sight of snow haha

BUMP.

question- if i dont have a car 1st year because im coming from east coast how might one go skiing?? besides bum rides?

some resorts have buses. i know brighton does but i dunno about the other places. you still have to get to where the bus picks you up, which is by the canyon haha

And the TRAX fuckers, I had like 3 buddies get tickets for riding there long boards on the TRAX station loading area(no train present) which is stupid because you're hauling down a parking lot and its the best way to ride out. I rode out on it yesterday and some bitch in a TRAX truck happened to be driving by and she stopped her truck and i just go onto the train. She then reversed to the exact spot on the train that i was sitting at just staring at me like she was going to do something but nothing happened.

yeah, you can get to brighton, alta and snowbird by bus and it only costs a couple of bucks, but it sucks because it takes so long. just try to find people to give you rides I dont think you'll have a problem.

As far as the campus goes, when I visited I thought it was extremely nice. The tuition is also cheaper than alot of other state schools I looked and the academics still seemed very good. However, i still decided not to go, when you make this decision think extremely hard about how important skiing is to you, try not to base your entire college choice on skiing.

so im going to bump this because i have another question

-there website says there a dry campus? what the fucks up with that its college???

could anyone give me some detail how the party scene is there and how hard it is to get booze

You may be confused with BYU provo, by the way..dont go there unless you want to get slammed

with rules. But seriously, do you want to base your entire education on skiing? Think bout it man.

Skiing is fucking rad and all but....yea, just tryin to help you out

Actully dude I know that alot of non-mormons go there, they've got a slamming academic program. Belive it or not, but i was just saying.

on your question about it being a dry campus and all... its not hard to get booze... its not hard to drink on campus, in your dorm or whatever you want to do. i dont drink but alot of my friends do and i know kids that drink 3+ times a week on campus. you sont need to worry about that part. i promiseee

its sick. cool campus. cool people.

yah it is a dry campus but that doesn't stop anybody. you will find mutiple beer boxes in the halls and the parking lots by the dorms. and people always sneek shit in to the football games, just find the girl who puts a flask down her pants, thats always fun.

and there are plenty of parties, maybe not a ragining quad kegger every weekend, but good parties.

NOV.10th were havin another one, details to come, the last one was insane, cops didn't show up until 4:30 either, and just told us to simma down, should be a good one.

thats probably about right. when I got in 4 years ago at the U, I had a 3.2 GPA comin out of high school and all I needed was a 17 on the ACT to get in. thats not hard to do. u can find an updated chart of it at the website I'm sure.

yeah, i was going to say, not many schools serve alcohol on campus anyways. and if you are under 21 then any school in america that you go to is going to be illegal for you to drink... not saying it doesnt happen.
