u of utah and skiing

Unlike colorado all the mountains in utah are fairly close. I want to go to U of U soooo bad if I could.

I think what he means is that utah has the best concentration of kick ass resorts in a small radius combined with sick amounts of snowfall

yeah I don't live there so you may have a way to get quality alochol. I know in SLC punk, they had to go to wyoming to get real beer. and utah women are hot compared to what?? the women of the yukon?

alright, the thing about alcohol and the girls are true. My brother goes there. Most of the people in his classes are already married. But its worth it cause Alta is possibly the best ski area in North America.

yeah the thing about the booze and girls does suck. already married! thats crazy, utah obviously isn't the place to meet chicks. i don't know what the party scene is like in snowbird or alta, but maybe those two places might be a good place for girls.

the whole skiing factor rules, although the point of college is to get plastered and a higher education all at the same time. i probably won't get the education with the major snow distraction and booze in utah is pretty much a moot point. lol, so many choices to make

 
come to think about it, doesn't utah have one of the highest teen pregnancy rates. i remember reading that somewhere. it's cause they teach abstinence and it doesn't work. for some odd reason kids still wanna do the freak nasty. go figure

 
yeah, in freeze U of U had more girl population than Anywhere, Idaho is the worst state cause they are all mormon, no alcohol, no people, no good resorts. Utah has hadly any trafic to ski resorts, U of U is about 45 minutes from The Canyons, Park City, Deer Valley, Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird, Alta, and about 1 hour from powder mountain and whatever else is up by powder mountain. Jackson hole is 6 hours away. 8 hours to Tahoe, Aspen is 6 hours away, Big Sky is 7 hours away, and Vermont is like 37 hours away. hahaha, but anyway, there is alcohol here, i dont know how good it is cause i dont drink. And there are tons of hot girls here. plus, 500+ inches of the lightest stuff you have skied ever

utah is full of mormons, i bet more than idaho. if you look at all the schools in freeze, west coast you will notice that wasted state is the school closest to a ski area. And the girl situation isn't that bad. I mean if your gona go to school for the women go to u of a, if your gona go to ski come out here.

holy shit, I just moved to utah and am at u of u, I am 35 min. away from alta/snowbird, 25 from canyons, park city, etc. the girls are fine as fuck, getting alcohol isn't a problem, and they have some of the best buds I have ever smoked

move here if you can

 
from the U you can get to snowbird, alta, brighton, solitude, the canyons, park city, and deer valley (not saying you'd want to go to all of them) in 35 min. or less. i tell ya salt lake is probably one of.. if not the best ski city in the world.

 
I'm at university of Denver and its sick. Wicked cool campus, everybody's really cool, parties everywhere and a kickass city two feet away. Breck is no more than an 1 1/2 away and there's tons of other resorts around. Plus with the alpine club you can go to places for the weekend for real cheap, it's nasty.

The state of utah sucks for anything but outdoor stuff. I live in pocatello idaho and it is the same way basically. Southern idaho

and utah are notorious for nothing to do passed midnight but there are some cool people and the skiing in both areas kicks ass!

DU sucks, your an hour and a half away from breck if you head up there at noon and back at 1. People dont realize how bad traffic is going up and down I-70 on a sunday night it could take you over 5 hours to get home.

I go to CU Boulder, and I kick myself in the head daily for not going to U of U. I spent last spring out there skiing/working the Olympics, and it was amazing. I partied harder in Utah than I ever have in Colorado. Being a girl, I can't really judge the girls out there, but I did notice that there aren't very many good skier girls on the mountain. Most of them are all bunny slope girls. Boulder/Denver sucks for skiing. It takes multiple hours to get home from the mountains, unless you ski Eldora which is possibly the worst resort in the state.

 
u of u isnt as bad as that all mormon school.. bringham young or something.. the thing about U of U is that its a huge school, so u are bound to find some hott girls/guys who are non mormon obsessed ski bums who like park and pipe cliffs pow and all the other shit just like you do. i mean the population is like 26,000 so there are bound to be parties too. pluss they have really nice dorms. i dunno i think the best schools to go to if u want to ski are UVM and U of U.. and ive done a lot of research

UVM is the best in the east . . . there are a couple hundred schools in the west with better close skiing than UVM

i will probably end up going to U of U, CU, or university of washington, but i must agree with that fact that there are more hot chicks in salt lake then anywhere i've ever been. they are everywhere, they're just mormon and they won't talk to you becuase you not mormon..which sucks.

 
a few hundred tim? uvm is 45 mins from stowe. list 5 state or GOOD universities that are that close to good skiing out west?

Unitversity of Utah - SLC

University of Washington - Seattle

University of British Columbia - Vancouver

Montana State University - Bozeman

University of Alaska - Anchorage

University of Nevada - Reno

University of Puget Sound

All of them are ok schools, and some are really good schools (Puget, U of W), and all are at least relatively close to good skiing.

i go to u of u with ban11 and the school is cool, its soo close to so many nice areas and park city is going to have a sweet park this year. There are alot of hot girls here too i was surprised. Oh yea and everyone says not to go here because of the mormons and it will suck but ive barley met any mormons out here anyway and the one i did is a real cool kid so it didnt matter. yea come here its nice

 
Hey phrosty, DU is fuckin sweet. It's thursday night and I just got back from a sweet party. I can't wait for the winter, I could see my breath tonight, that always makes me think snow. Anyways, I know that it's an hour and a half from breck, but that' nothing. I'll take a good education and a little extra driving over Wasted State anyday.

UofU is a kick ass school with hella good parties. 1/2 hour from 7 of the dopest resorts anywhere. The women here are fine as hell, hotter then anywhere including SoCal. Good Alcohol is no problem. Chronic is in abundance. The only problem is the po-po's here lick balls, if you look at all like you're having fun be prepared to get hassled.

UofU is a good choice for anyone that likes to ski.

yea the only downside to u of u or SLC would be the cops all the mormons and not as much good bud as most other places. I think I could handle goign to school somewhere without great skiing just casue if i went to a place like that I would drop out and never go to classes

the cops here do suck there are so many and if you get caught with weed you go straight to jail or what ive heard anyway.. but bad bud... yea right we get some good shit out here better then back on the east coast. And the mormons arent bad at all i was expecting them to be but ive only met a couple and they are all cool and pretty much all of them drink. u of u is a sweet school for sure go here

 
i went to UVM. it was the craziest nine months of my life. then i got dismissed from my major...that sucks. UVM is prime in the northeast with stowe, smuggs, jay peak, and mad river glenn all within and hour and a half, without any traffic. the bud is awesome, but at the same time you have to deal with those damn smelly hippies playing frisbee all the time.

 
I dont know what the fuck all you who dis on Utah are talking about. I live in SLC, and Ive traveled to pretty much every state in the U.S. and Utah has, no doubt, the hottest girls. Also everyone underates Mormons, Its not like they are amish or polygamist or anything. All the kids I ski with are Mormon and I think they are all awesome. Their standards are just a little higher than the rest of the world. Also, alcohol is no problem, the only bad thing is beer. And if beer is the only thing you drink, you must be a fucking redneck. Just go to a liquor store and buy the hard stuff, it's way better than beer anyway..... I'm tired of typing, so don't dis Utah until you've actually been here for a week or two.
