Most of the PRT S, PRT L classes meet just once, then you have field sessions. Some are fun, some are kind of boring. You get credit, but not a grade, so it doesn't do much for you as far as graduating or GPA. Avalanche workshop (1.5 hrs) is good, if you want a letter grade do the 2 hour avalanche class, but be prepared to take some actual tests and spend time in the classroom.

I've heard good things about Ski mountaineering - it's taught by some cool guys too. I thought Backcountry ski guide was pretty slow and boring. If you're thinking about a rock climbing class skip Rock climbing I, and if you have experience, go straight to Rock climbing III seminar, basically a fun sport climbing trip down south.

Haha there's my academic advice on the non-classes that are offered, I've done my share.

Mountaineering class was a good time, our two teachers knew their shit and the wasatch really well. I recommend taking it.

We pay our debt sometimes.

yeah don't take the ski class, i just wanted to get eome stupid credit, but the teacher suck, hell i was a better skier, and it was suposed to be advanced skiing. plus, i'm biased, since i broke my leg during the class, it was stupid.

if your paying out of state tuition, or even in state, thats a pretty pricey one credit to pay for. why not just buy a seasons pass or two and go to school two or three days a week

yeah the calss isn't worth it. the only reason i took it was cause at the time i was a prt major and needed to take the prt classes like that. i don't really climb or camp that much, but i ski, so i figured it would be an easy allied credit. untill i broke my leg. but yeah you can buy a pass for the same price of tuition

Yeah indoor rockclimbing is sweet, you meet once a week and they teach you shit for the first few weeks, then you just fuck off and climb and have fun.

I'm over in the science house on officer's circle. I already met Tim from Oregon that skis a lot. Is that any of you?
