U of U?

Well, what are you looking for? The U is the shit, plenty of party scene on the weekends, 2 miles from downtown, accessible from across a large area with bus/trax(train), cheap living close to campus, dope ass campus lots of options for study and how can you beat 25 mins to PC and 30-35 mins to brighton/snowbird/alta?

yea thats what i was thinking!
how is the campus? are the dorms nice? my parents are generally freaking about the distance so i'm trying to come up with as many good things as possible so i can shut them up
but the distance to alta/snowbird is fucking amazing and will be most of the reason im going there..
also, my mom seems to have decided that ill end up a mormon with like 800 children because thats what she thinks Utah is..

Campus is beautiful, bring your parents to the school they'll be stoked.
Dorms are literally probably some of the best, they were rebuilt for the Olympic atheletes, decent size, most are doubles with two doubles attached to a bathroom.
The mormon shit about utah is so blow out of proportion, especially in SLC. It's a city, there are a lot more people than in normal utah areas, a lot of out of state. Sure, there are mormons, but ive never felt any pressure or have really even been offered to join the mormon religion once. All of the intense mormons tend to stick to the southern part of the valley, the actually city/campus is legit. The only way the mormons effect us is how they effect some laws, since a lot of the old congress/state people are mormons since they are from like the early/mid part of the last century. Mostely liquor laws are the worst, 4% beer, liquor store closed at 10, etc. Some laws are similar to other states but sometimes out the ordinary for some. They are getting better tho because the congress/state people are getting younger and aren't ancient mormon fucks.

is it a good school, whenever i say U of U, people think about punks and the movie SLC Punk. I have heard it is a bit of a party school

i'm going out first week of december to look at the school and hopefully convince my parents
not really worried about my chances of getting in so if my visit goes well, I'm sure I'll be attending next year (watch me say this and then i'll be that one girl with good grades that doesn't get in)
do they require an essay when applying?i can't find this anywhere on the website, sorry for all the questions hahah
