what is out of state tuition for University of Utah...thinking about transferring in a few semesters. This is ski gabber because I am asking about a college that is close to ski mountains. :-) i.e. PC or Brighton.

i think its like 18 thousand or something or 20. i just applied to transfer from umass. and i know its only a little bit more for out of state there as it is for in state at umass, which im pretty sure is 16-18.

dude, dont go to the U and pay out of state tuition... come down, get a place and at least a part time job and go to salt lake community college for a semester and get some cores, then apply for instate tuition, much cheaper.

that was another plan I had...I just don't want to get a degree at some community college....that's a huge downgrade from Penn State. So i figured a school in colorado or utah would suffice. but living there for a while and then applying for in state tuition is a good idea.

Have you read the Utah State requirements to become a resident? It's usually pretty hard to become a resident of any state, like high income requirements or more than two years of residency.

If you go to U of U for 2 years you get residency bringing it down to 4k for tuition for jr and sr year, thats my plan.

2 yrs. or 60 credit hours which you could knock out in less than a year. and the tution is 14K outta state

i lived here since i was a sophmore in highschool and i'm now about to graduate from highschool, so almost 3 years now. but my parents "legal domicile" is in texas, therefore i dont qualify for in state tuition, even though i have a utah drivers license for 2 years now and all that, i turn 18 in may, i'm going to salt lake community college for my cores then going to the U for my 2nd semester, if you guys are smart, you'll do the same as freshmen and save A LOT if money.
