Yooo I'm thinking about transferring to Utah next year, and I'll be going in as a sohpomore next year and I was just wondering if it is uncommon for sophomores at Utah to live in the dorms? I'm thinking about hittin up the dorms because I'm headin out from Michigan and I don't know anyone and it'd be an easy way to get to know people

I transferred and did the exact same thing for the same reason. Now all my homies are a year younger than me, but that doesn't really matter much it's definitely the fastest and easiest way to meet a ton of skier homies and get acquainted with the area. I lived in sage point, if you can live in gateway it is the closest to everything.

Aight thanks guys! Just curious, is it easy to find a job in the area? I wanna gain residency, so my parents can't give me a dime, so I'm gonna have to work a few hours a week to support myself

If you are down to work in restaurants that is always easy to find, but people had trouble finding jobs this summer. although it would probably be much easier in the school year when way less students work. Also, not sure what your situation is, butif your parents are down to help you out with money I know tons of people who were pretty much fully supported by their 'rents and still got residency all that matters is that they don't claim you on their taxes as a dependent.
