so im most likely transfering to utah second semster... need to know some things\
1. what the deal with the mormon issue... is there any major negative about being based in an area that is mostly mormons? are their lives completely different from anyone else.. cuz theres a lot of noise from people sayin it could get weird.
2. hows the transportation around campus... easy access to the city and hills?
3. I NEED AN APARTMENT TO RENT FOR SECOND SEMESTER. the school cant guarantee me housing so i might need to look off campus... any one know of anything or have extra room for the spring semester of 2011.

the mormons wont bother you. they mind their own business. transportation around and to the city is great with trax and busses but idk about to the mtn. kids will have cars where u can find a ride and idk what to tell you about an apartment

every school you go to theres a group of kids who don't party, here they just happen to all be morman. the only real downers that the morman culture brings is that you have to be 19 to buy cigs and the only cold beer you can get is weak, like 3.2. you can go to a liquor store and get the real stuff tho. and sometimes you'll meet a cute girl and then find out shes morman which is kinda a bummer, but really only like 10%ish of the kids that go here are morman. and they're nice people who mostly let you do your own thing.
transportation into the city is really good, theres a trax system that runs throughout the school and into the city. transportation to the hill is a bit trickier, but there are busses that can take you up there.
the U is a great time, maybe a bit more tame than other schools this size, but if you wanna party you won't have any trouble

Mormons aren't an issue (speaking as a non-mormon who has lived in Utah since I was 2). As a student at the U you get free access to most public transit including to Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. I don't know about Parley's Canyon (to get to Park City) though, I imagine it is included. I don't know what to tell you about an apartment though.

yeah,.... i understand. partyin is partyin wherever.good to know that the mormon % is only 10 cuz i was hearin 60%, not that i have anything agaisnt them

how is the housing situation therr btw? i heard its some of the best... do a lot of kids live off campus or commute?

Utah beer is the same as any typical light beer, about 4%. So all those keystone lights you drank is high school have the same amount of alcohol as utah beer.
