U of U - is it really that bad?(partys)

All i've heard is there is barly any partying at U of U but its hard to believe seeing some people i saw today on my tour. Is it just way hyped up that there is no partying or is it true? thanks
 
I live in park city and its pretty hard to find parties, so usually u result in hanging at some1s house people taking bong rips and like 2 chicks...yay?
 
YEah. Just got back from a "party". Same people, same house, same 2 girls. SICK! FUCK SLC parties. The only thing this city is good for is it's recreation.
 
if you meet the right people you can keep yourself busy easily we've been finding ourselves too drunk this fall. there are parties for sure not like any state where you can go get another keg at 11:30 like say wisconsin or missouri but it doesn't matter because partying is no reason to move to the conservative state of utah.
 
no way dude. we party in dorms 4-5 nights a week playing pong and shit. then on top of that theres keggers every weekend around the city, you just have to meet people. ive been to keggers a couple weekends straight now
 
Yeah.... All the parties ive been to suck. Maybe it's just because I'm from Indiana, and there were more chicks than dudes at every party, and that's all people do is party. Back home, it was amazing. Here, sure you can find parties, but they're not very good. And playing pong/getting drunk in the dorms is fun for about 4 times, then you realize it's pretty beat. It's just that...... 10 dudes sitting in a small room playing pong....

LAME. But I didn't move here to party, and once the ski areas open I'm sure I won't even have time to party with school, work, and skiing.
 
after you spend some time here, it's pretty easy to find parties. i just went to a triply kegger, and our friends who bought the kegs got in a fight, and there were white people, black people, tongans, mexicans, and all. it was diverse, and drunk. and we all ran from the cops, and a bunch of people went to the hospital.
 
I have been to keggars almost every weekend since i have been here. I'm a freshman. just gotta know the right people.
 
but yea, as rich said... high guy/girl ratio unfortunately. they are around though. 
 
OK, look, if all you kiddies chose your college based on the party ranking then you should be at wisconson or something, but you didn't. you all came to utah i would assume cause you want to ski. well, it is now ski season, and you will be too tired to worry about partying every night. so just don't worry about it. and ski.

smoking is easy to get away with. just smoke in your bathroom and blow into dryer sheets if you really want. we play pong a lot but thats how we always get screwed over
 
usually not too bad. Sometimes you can get out of it. a lot of the time people have to pay money to take an alcohol awareness class, or write an essay, or do a gay survey or something. 

If you are on scholarship you can lose it though
 
You can always do what I did and take the pussy way out and join a frat. But then of course all your non-frat friends will hate you.
