how far is it from baker? is it hard? what are there best programs? easy to get in skiing time? buses? is it really big? worth the price for out of state kid? thanks

UW is a ways from baker, but 1 hour and a half away from stevens, which has some sweet terrain and a nice park. You can make college as hard as you want, what are you planning or majoring in? Everything else you can figure out for yourself, best programs, whether its too expensive etc, do your own research. There are a few buses, but its also very easy to get a ride, we have one of the strongest regional NS scenes. Washington skiing is highly underrated, we just dont like these things to get around.~

If you have any more specific questions feel free to ask~

indeed.

Uw: Far as shit from baker. stevens pass and snoqualmie will undoubtedly be the ski areas of highest convenience.

Programs vary, and competitiveness varies. Med (grad) is good shit, business, engineering all pretty swell too. Other programs have some excellent classes and curricula and all that shit.

Western isn't bad, depending on what you're going for. Some people pop out of there with super nice jobs. Good for things like accounting, teaching, etc. About as far to baker as UW is to Stevens (well, a touch closer, but a good comparison because people tend to think baker is super close).

UW to Snoqualmie = 45min - 1 hourUW to Stevens = 1 hour 30 - 1 hour 45UW to Baker = 2 hours 30+UW to Mission Ridge = 2 hours 30+WWU to Baker = 1 hour 15 - 1 hour 30
This is all depending on traffic, conditions, etc.

ya UW is sick, WWU is gay as fuck, better go to UW, and you can ski the sick park at Stevens. You won't miss much at Baker besides rain.

depends on what you're looking to go to school for.

I was in the aeronautical engineering department at UW, and loved it. Got a very good education and really enjoyed my time there. It is competitive, sure, but all schools are these days, and tuition keeps going up.

What you don't get is that most of the year, Baker is average at best tbh...only on big dumps does it get amazing. You can get EPIC pow days in at Alpental, Stevens no problem, and still have fun on days when the snow is sub optimal

Youre probably going to end up in the dorms. Was pretty good for me 1st year. After that I moved elsewhere~

Depends on what your looking for.
Want to be close to campus? Go dormsWant to party and basically have an instant group of friends? FratWant your own place? House or apartment

WWU is just full of hippies with no shoes, and girls who don't shave. baker is super boring too, avoid!
