U bolts to attach pvc

ive used screws for all my other rails, but when i looked around on utube, i found how to use U bolts to attach the pvc. It works amazing and ive had my rail for two years now.heres what they look like....

look in the top pic. they go in the pvc and then through the wood and screwed in on the bottom ill take more pics
 
honestly, screws throught the bottom done properly wil work better then this, i assume you took a large amount of time to build this, but ive made a few rails and all work well and dont require difficult things like ubolts, also 4x4 is the best beam support ive found
 
It did take a little longer but i had U bolts at home so why not. and yeah i didn't have any 4x4s or i would have used them
 
yea man i guess, i just dont understand why all ns has to think summer set ups are too expensive? not directed at you, just i have built a 20ft pvc shot gun, ply wood covered sides, for $50, split between me and my friend thats $25 a pop, and monday i built a fruit boot rail, for $20, thats 8 feet long, 2 pvc pipes, and is made of 2x6's basicllay, its not as expensive and the cost eventually makes it last longer
 
Yeah i see what ur sayin too. my parents just hate that i make rails in the first place and they wont drive me so im using what i have but yeah
