Tyrolia Peak 18 or FKS?

Im looking for a binding to put on my new Filthy Rich's. I have the option of a new pair of Tyrolia Peak 18's or a second hand pair of FKS 14 (a few seasons old). I am swayed towards the FKS cause i have skied them a lot before and love the pivot heal. Im a little hesitant about the Peak 18's cause i know little about them and people say they are super heavy? I will be skiing mostly park but i only ride on din 9 so is a 18 a bit of an overkill? they are similar prices so it goes purely on the better binding. Heres a picture or the FKS (rank colour i know). Thanks for the help.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Tyrolias, but you dont need an 18 din binding..

If you like the FKS, like me, go for that way.. But make shure thay are mounted correctly and the brakes are snug so you wont break them easily..

Yea ideally i would get a 15 but 18 is the only ones he has in stock and i need them ASAP as going skiing next week. Yea i was thinking that cause i have broken a brake on my old FKX which was a nightmare trying to change. My FR's are 88mm waist, a 90mm break wouldn't be to tight would it? Also does anyone know exactly how old these are?

i use both and have had great experiences with both. my heart is with the fks' though, couldnt tell ya why.

I think Tyrolia is a better binding, but you don't need an 18 din. Those are also FKS 120 from mid / late 2000's, not FKS 14. I hated my FKS.

I know ideally i would have a 15 but i need them by Friday and the guy in the shop only has the 18's. Seeing as i ride on 9's it not recommended to ride at the very bottom of the din range is it?

^^ People will try to tell you that, but bottom line is bindings have a DIN range for a reason. They wouldn't include a certain DIN in the range if it was unsafe to ride at it or if it was bad for the binding. That being said, don't get 18 DIN bindings if you're riding below 12. There's no need for it. It'll just add a bunch of weight that you don't need.

I would go fks because its a binding you are use to and you are use to what the release is like which is important when you eat shit all the time riding park.
