Tyrolia bindings suck

who else thinks so? i have mojo 15s on my hellbents and anytime i stomp something real hard or at a little bit of an angle, my boot shifts in the bindings so my ski is on crooked. from there, i've got no edge control and i usually have to make a forced crash, wtf. everything is adjusted and mounted correctly, the DINs are cranked as high as they go and it still happens.
now what do you guys think about that shit?!

maybe back them of to 14, if the spring is totally max'd out it can release easier, or can you increase the forward pressure, i ski on them and mine have been fine for ages, i do ski the 18 din ones set at 12 and zero issues ever.

Forward Pressure issue.

They OBVIOUSLY aren't adjusted right. Mojo 15's are bomber clamps.

forward pressure is a tab at the back of the heel piece, it is a little tab that you can life with a screwdriver,
just put your boot in the binding, like put the boot toe in the toe piece and just set the heel down on the heel piece, when the tab is up you can move the heel piece back and forth, so now move the heel piece al the way till hit is snug against the boot and lock down the binding using that tab.

lol i love my mojo's. I havent been able to break em. you just havent set yours right. Check your forward pressure like he said above. I almost guaruntee that is the problem. I think you should edit the thread title tho. not really fair to bash a brand (especially when they are a solid binding) because some shop tech didnt set them right.

all i know is that tyrolia bindings blow huge for ski racing.....

if their ski racing binding blow huge i dont wanna imagine their freestyle ones lmfao!

No hate, but that doesn't really tell anyone how to know if the forward pressure is CORRECT

Tyrolias are really forward pressure sensitive and will prerelease all the time if there isn't enough (Thats obviously whats happening with the thread starters bindings)

Pretty sure Mojo 15 forward pressure can be checked by looking at the scribe line area. Set the back of the heelpiece (where the tab is) to be as close to the middle of the scribe area as possible (when the boot is engaged)

Something like this:

I only had a problem with my tyrollia bindings the first day i used them. My boot half-released, and my ski was at a 45 degree angle on the snow. The only complaints i have about them are that they are kind of heavy.

no offense dude, but you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. the tyrolia 17-din race binding is bomber and the mojo 15 freeski binding is sick also.

just so as you know.

jea well i've already got the forward pressure adjusted correctly then, its all right, like i said above. boots fit perfect, everythings been adjusted to how it should be and it still happens regularly (today 3 times in one run, almost killing me one of those times). thanks for the help though, but i stand by the statement that tyrolia bindings suck.

Height/Weight/BSl/Ability?

I can't imagine you would need a binding with a higher din than that..

Could be a fault with the binding - is it only one binding that is releasing on you?

5'8"/150 lbs/i ski hard. i've got some rossi bindings that have been acting up too, but totally different situation.

im gonna take a guess that you ski like a 400 pound man all the time if you have your binding on 18 din and still release out of them, especially if this is happening with another pair too

There is no way you need to run those bindings at 15. I'd say they are faulty in some way or there is SOMETHING not set right.

If the forward pressure is good, and it's not the DIN i'm pretty sure there aren't any adjustments on the toepiece that could be causing this - so there could be a spring fault or something similar.

Take it to your shop, they can have a look - there is nothing wrong with Mojo 15 bindings though. And you definitely aren't heavy enough to warrant prereleasing out of them.
