Can't find much on this, seems similar to the Guardian. Anybody have any experience with it?

hopefully we'll know more after SIA. looks like the guardian though but already wtih crampons designed for 'em.

Im pretty impressed with the overall design. Crampons/risers under the heel look interesting. Also I am liking the track system instead of relying on the spring loaded system the tracker/guardian is using. That being said there seems like some issues are going to arise. Ice could become a problem along with the ski/tour switch popping up. The 16 din touring market is blowing up this year. Hopefully it will create some price competition between the companies. Still going to be rocking the dukes until i see how the newer bindings are performing.

anybody know if any of the new touring bindings like these will be coming in 12-14 DIN instead of 16?

these and the guardian were seeing a lot of action at sia yesterday, i didnt get to play with them since i had limited time but i am looking forward to get a hands on tomorrow.

Except it's probably better. They've made it so you don't have to unclick to get in touring mode. All these bindings are going to have some sort of similarity to the Duke

The free flex feature looks cool. The shock obsorbing feature seems cool to, they are tyroia so i bet they will perform

i'm really in the market for a touring setup, i'm just not sure whether i'd go for a guardian/adrenalin type of binding or a dynafit/plum kind of binding ...

It looks like these had a lot more thought put into it than the gardian or the dukes, it seems to have way more features than most other touring bindings

i think they were just showing that it comes in a demo model too.

anybody have an answer to my question above? for these and the guardians?

Sweet based on absolutely nothing but a weak opinion gaine by watching some shitty youtube video.

I don't see why they would come out with a lower DIN version because the whole reason the market exploded like this is because people wanted those higher DINs they got from their downhill alpine bindings that they couldn't get from a dynafit/plum. But I guess over time they could, but right now I don't think it would make sense. Hope that helped

if they didn't, they'd be missing out on a whole market segment though. people like myself who ski just as hard and break things but can't use bindings like this which have a DIN range that starts above what they use.

for getting to jump spot or minigulf i agree but for long tours and days of laps..I'm looking for something lighter...heard good things about the adrenalin and looking forward to getting on a pair next season..guardians look dope as well..heard it's a duke but all metal..sounds pretty bomb proof

Just found this in my threads. I'm a featherweight, so I ski my Salomon S912 bindings at 6.5 DIN as well as my 4frnt (AKA Tyrolia) Deadbolt bindings. I also ski my NAXO bindings at 8.5 but that's because they suck and I pre-release at anything less.

The biggest worry I have about Dukes is that it's a plastic to plastic connection in the heel. These look like it's a metal plate to plastic tabs, which is just as bad.
Guardian/Tracker is metal to metal, and I really do hope its a tour worthy binding that allows switch landings. That seems to be the holy grail for the freestyle market.

Titanal interface in the heel between ski/binding.

DIN from 6-16, so if you plan on running a release of 6.5, you may want to get them checked out to see if they will consistently release at that value before you buy them.

I like Tyrolia bindings. I'm thinking about giving these a try. I'm not in love with my Dukes, and I have no reason to look at the Salomon version before I look at the Tyrolia offering.

Naxos are sketchy as fuck. Just get dukes/ barons/ tours or if you are concerned about how they tour dynafits or plums. If you are light enough to ski a 6.5 din you are not going to break any of the above bindings and dynafits will tour way better than the adrenaline/ guardians.

But not totally. There's a metal plate that screws into the ski. Then the main plate that hinges, that has the toe and heelpiece, that's plastic. Then there's the upper metal cage around the heelpiece.
Which means you have plastic in the middle of that metal, and the same sort of sliding plastic flanges that slide into that metal bottom plate. I doubt those will take big switch landings.
Hope this thing works great. But we'll see after this winter who wins the freeride/touring binding war.

except i can't afford dynafits and new touring specific boots to go wtih them. if i had the money i'd throw down on some dynafits or plums though. the NAXOS aren't as bad as everyone puts them out to be (for somebody my weight at least). I have the freeride version they came out with right before going out of business that have held up to a lot of abuse that I've put them through. plus, they feel really good touring uphill. they're just heavy and the lift is way too high for my liking. the barons would work for me, but they're heavier than i'd like and the dukes don't come in my DIN range. i'd consider the m12s or whatever the touring specific ones are that marker makes, but i dont' like marker and feel like i'd break them pretty easy.

Bump, need a touring binding for just little hikes, no epic 6 hour treks, and no little to none, would you recommend this? What are my other options? I want it to be very study because I plane on dipping some cliffs, and want to feel good about it. Or should I not get a touring binding and have to deal with taking my skis of and hiking? I really don't know.
