Tyrol Spring Jam 2010

it was FUN....but probably the dumbest idea for a competition ever haha
they should of had an actual rail jam versus just the barn box jam

can anyone confirm that Spring Jam is actually happening? I saw on Tyrol's facebook that theyre having an "end of the year event" on March 28th. Does this mean spring jam is cancelled?

idk they did the same thing last year, and then ended up having spring jam as well
hoo nos wut thay'll do....those mutha fuckas r KRAAAAZY

shit is real...spring jam 2010 is going down. Confirmed off of Tyrol's facebook page

the hype train starts here...

they set up rails under the cable tow on the bunny hill and as you got towed up the hill on the cable, you had to hit the features.

If your talking about dates...they close on march 28th I believe, and then they open back up the weekend of the 17th for SJ

they sent us for quite a ride with that event on the 28th...

I don't know why they won't respond to my email about giving them free stuff for the event.

you most not be able to read or didn't read the whole email it said at the bottom that spring jam was april 17th and 18
(maybe the part you didn't read)Thank you to all who helped make the 2009-2010 season a great year full of fun and excitement on the slopes. Please join us during the remainder of season for more skiing and snowboarding, our end of season celebration, and also mark your calendars for April 17 and 18, the weekend of our Spring Jam. See you then!
28th is the END OF SEASON events.

i was there last saturday, they had 2 double barrel down rails, some goofy jumps, a little whale tail rail, a down flat down, the gatorade thing, a butter box, an extremely high box, a corrugated pipe/culvert thing, a down mailbox, and thats about it

i'm not gonna be there tomorrow night :'( because my brothers band is playing at this competition thing and my parents got me a ticket
i'll be there saturday though and maybe sunday (depending if i work or not, which i probably do, which i might end up skipping)

i don't know, but just a suggestion... could there be a small jump that would be perfect for learning backflips or flatspin 3s, or does tyrol not allow staight-over flips?

technically they don't allow straight over flips. Usually if you get seen doing one they give you a warning. But all the years I've been at spring jam they have been super relaxed about inverts. They tend to be a little more strict during the regular season.
And as far as the set up goes... tyrol's park crew is all snowboarders except for one skier I think, who isn't on NS. They generally have a good variety of features though.

pipe wont be open, they use that snow for the rest of the hill. im sure you could try backies on a small jump. otherwise go the first day and ask for a small jump to try stuff on. they would probably make on for the second day. everyone try to get them to bring out the 42 ft rail. thats how they used to do it in the old days.

nah i'm in europe till june. i got to every other sping jam for as long as i remember. kill it though blake and everyone else!

stooooked. ending the season with this and starting it with the MWSFF makes the offseason way better than it used to be
