Tyring to ban ipods and handhelds in NY city

heard it on NPR with my dad. really gay.

the government fails to realize that although the people being hit have ipods on, the people driving are on cell phones, pagers, ipods, blackberries, makeup themselves.

ignorant, tho ignorant

wouldn't it just be easier to ban cars in NYC? And while theyre at it why don't they ban sunglasses, hoodsweatshirts, bangs and everything else that could impare you while crossing the street. THis would include all handicapped people becasue they can't cross the street as safely as other people.

What the fuck is this guy thinking, someone died crossing the street listening to an Ipod now we have to banish them from city streets, its not the ipod that killed the man it was his own idiocacy for crossing the street when he didn't have a walk sign.

I want Apple to stage a protest in NYC, (if they gave out free T-shirts i'd show up,) to see what the people think, which would be fitting considered that senators like that mother fucker from Brooklyn have been elected by the people to represent there people, not themselves.

fuck that shit.

they really couldnt enforce that, because people could just pause their music and get away with saying it was paused.

i smell a hoophole but they'll probably bust you for it. I bet celebrities could get away with it but hopefully the assholes that get paid in our and our parents tax money stop this.

this wouldn't be an issue of pedestrians would have a little consideration, so many people just walk out into the crosswalk without any hesitation or thought to look for traffic, yes they have the right of way, but i've seen people literally run into intersections, don't know if it's a lazy man's attempt to get some insurance money.... but whatever happened to look both way twice? and when a car waits for you giving them the friendly wave.... i never get the friendly wave anymore.

so people should be allowed to walk through traffic with an ipod and when those headphones are on you cant hear shit, but who cares about safety its america
