typical ski length post

yeah!

anyway, Im looking at getting some madtrix but i cant decide on 172 or 181. I am 5'11' and 155-160 pounds. I cant decide which would do best for me. I am mostly park, but i do some regular skiing every once in a while (about 80/20). I need some suggestions!! thanks! :)

get the 170's since you are so into the park. If you want to become a real skier and ski the whole mountain you should definitely get the skis in the 180 range.

 
I'm about your dimentions, and I had more fun in the 170s range than the 180s. The only time longer skis would really help is in powder...that's it.

 
172 but if you grew some balls and skied the whole mtn. like 60 park 40 all mtn then 180 and also the 180 will help in the park off big hits

 
shit calm down everybody maybe the only good thing at his mountain is the park, i ski at snoqualmie so i ski a lot of park but that dosent mean i suck and have no balls, when im at a good mountain i ski the mountain.. not the park

 
Even if you're mostly into park, i would go with the longer ones. The length will truely help when it comes to bigger hits. With shorter skiis you may think its more manuverable, but that can only go so far. Plus the longer ones will just be a more solid ski for the days when the park is shit and you have to just ride.

172 = Park and Pipe

180 = All Mtn/Speed

no man, 180's im big mountain mode, even the pros in whistler that ride for head have it in big mountain in the summer!

should be good for landnigs, im 5'4' and i skie 174's. id flow with 180s!

true big air mode probably will like poop. I've tried the 181's in big mountain mode, and i really liked them.. i almost got a pair. And im 5'11 150lbs. no matter what you get Make sure you get sweet light bindings cause it makes all the difference.
