Typical Fears

i couldn't sleep for like a week after i saw texas chainsaw massacre. i was scared he was in my closet. i don't have the under the bed fear becuase my mattress is just on the floor. so there is no under-the-bed. my closet freaks me out though. and i always hear noises outside since we don't have a/c i leave my window open all the time in the summer and i hear stuff outside in the trees. sometimes i get so scared i pull the covers over my head. i haven't done that in a while, but i used to. i'm also afraid to get in my car at night because i heard about these people who hide under cars and cut peoples achilles right as tehy are getting in the car and then steal it. so i sometimes hop in. that always freaks me out

one thing that is reeaaalllyy freaky is when you are standing there waiting for your toast to pop out of the toaster and you dont know when its comin but then when it does it makes you jump.....

walking home late at night from a friend's house is really creepy. He only lives about 15 minutes away, but that's only if I sut through a ravine in between our neighborhoods (otherwise it would be close to a 40 minute walk if I went around it). I'm always expecting some crazy rapist or drunken psycho hobo to jump out and stab me.

yeah i didnt used to be afraid of things in windows that much, but one night i had this dream where i was going upstairs and i caught a glimpse of this freddy krueger lookin guy in my window and i bolted upstairs and then i woke up, but since then whenever i look through that same window at that same angle at nigth, which i frequently do, i get all sketched out

I had my parents' car for the weekend once, so I just decided to go cruising around up town. I came to this bridge we call 'the old bridge' and I stopped like 400m away which was a decent spot to take a photo from (it looks cool at night). But when I was standing there I kept hearing stuff rustling in the bushes and I was expecting indian gangsters to jump me. Scary stuff.

But yeah, walking around my town at night is kinda scary. It's not like big cities like Vancouver, in Vancouver myself and my family went to the festival of lights and a canucks game but everywhere you go there are people, but in my town it's really bare so you feel like you're the only person there and if I see a back alley I never go down it cause the indians here are like ruthless gangsters and they'll kick the shit out of you and steal your money (happened to a guy I know TWICE). I was standing in front of a bunch of em at a crosswalk in the DAYTIME once and they were like 'So who we gonna kill tonight? I gots my Uzzi in my pack'. I know they were bluffing though because they're poor illiterate morons who could never get an Uzzi... but they'd jump you in broad daylight if no one was around.

They aren't indians they are Native Canadians. Thats crazy though I have the same deal, it is much scarier for me to walk around my town than it is to walk around a big city.

 
i dont know if it is necessarily the boy and girl thing, but maybe just an overall fear for everyone. when i was younger i used to think that people were underneath my bed... and then i am afraid to get out of my bed in fear that someone will grab my ankles.

i also have a fear of what is outside windows and doors. at night if a bat or something flies up against my screen, i always think it is like someone trying to get into my room. or, i imagine hearing whispering outside. i used to be so freaked out that whenever i open my blinds some physcho person would be staring in my second story window, or that someone would be looking directly at me from the ground.

but someone above said that they get scared in their basement... and i used to also. i would literally sprint from one end of the basement all the way up the stairs. but my brothers knew i was afraid and that i ran, so one time they came down and hid behind the coach and pingpong table ... so i started running, and they grabbed my ankles. it was so mean. it all sounds really stupid, but i guess it's just something that most people have fears of.

my computer is in my basement and everyone usually goes to bed at like 10 and i go to bed at about 2 so the basement is really dark. and there is my bathroom right across the hall and it has white curtains over it so when u turn on the light you can't see out, so when i'm peeing i dunno if someone is watching me.

also, my window is dead center of my front yard and a few things have happened in the summer so i always sit and look out my window really late at night just to make sure no one is out there. sometimes people have been out there and i get really scared and git under my covers. i hate my window and my room

wow I checked my windows like 10000 times reading this thread. I've never had the under the bed fear very bad (and I'm a girl) but I always have had the in the window thing. but the worst one for me is the 'something is behind me' fear. Only in houses though not outside. So I am always SPRINTING around my house even in the middle of the day. and I am afraid of the dark in general, and being alone in the dark especially. Also, does any get the ankles thing? whenever I am getting into cars at night I do it very speedy I am very afraid of people under cars going to grab or slit my ankles.

I actually get the ankle thing a lot. not with bed though. but like, I always pull my feet up when I am sitting on a couch or whatever. and i tend to wear my shoes as much as possible.

in my room there is this really big window and there is a tree kinda hanging in front of it, so sometimes when i look out i picture some dead body hanging from the tree. Also, when i am sleeping i try not to move or open my eyes at all cos i always think that someone is in my room so i just stay dead still

i saw jurassic park when i was like 4 and i couldnt sleep for monthes, and to this day, i think im gonna look out my window and see trex waiting for me, and im gonna have to play dead.

another thing is when im here on my comp facing the wall with the door behind me, and late at night i feel liek someone is just standing there, and i always kinda feel like there are ghosts in my hizzouse its scary.

im always afraid that ill be in the woods (daytime, i dont do woods at night) or walkign up the street at night, im gonna just turn around and see some guy walking behind me, just staring, and ill run and hell run, so i dont look back, and i just sprint as fast as i can.

Eveyone probably has this,but I see 'things' in the corner of my eye,and when I fully turn,'it' isn't there anymore.

When I was smaller me and some of my friends saw an hallucination. We practically saw a pipe,that went from a small hole in the ground up to the skies. Seriously. We were sure it was the aliens doing,so after that I started seeing grey 'things' in the corner of my eye. Fucking scary,I mean it.

Also,at night when I wake up,all these shadows and shapes seem so..alive. I start watching and sooner or later I see 'something' in there,and get too scared to move.

the most freakiest thing is when you have a fan in you room and you sleeping and theres a thunderstorm and all of a sudden you fan turns off becausse the power goes out.it feels like someone is standing there turning your fanon and off.

I am always thinking theres people outside looking at me through a window cause theres a ravine behind my house and supposedly theres a peeping tom lingering around the streets in our neighborhood. When i was young i had a dream about two people with trencoats on looking into my bedroom window.

Im also watching over my cousins dog for a couple of days so ive gotta sleep at their house and theres a forest behind the house and i keep thinking theres someone looking into the house...weird

i cant hear very well so every little noise i hear i think its someone either sneaking into my house or a ghost talking to me but when i think its soemone sneaking into my house i figure since i am upstairs they will have to get by all my family first and my family will just kick their ass

 
When my om was younger they had a peeping tom and he broke into her house and tried to break into the bathroom when her sister was taking a shower, my grandpa hit him over the head with a frying pan.

my moms friend peg fell asleep on her couch one night last year while she was waiting for her husband to come home and someone broke into her house and stole her tv, her couch, all her jewelry, and like her silverware and she never woke up. then the next week the same guy broke into a house a few towns away and tried to steal some old guys stamp collection and he attacked them and they killed him. i couldnt sleep for weeks after she told me

 
it was weird...once i had this dream that i woke up...and there was this like...old guy/dead guy who was like, all lanky and shit...sitting at the foot of my bed just staring at me...and starting to crawl onto the bed...and like, trying to scream but not....i woke up on the floor just freaking the fuck out

scary dreams hmm mine are like freaking twisted sick nightmares like horror movies... it sucks! bt i wpould say ive never been afraid of whatever is under my bed becase when i was young usually it was me... :) but i would say whatever was in my closet or in the dark bathroom... i hated dark bathrooms and mirror use to scare me!

last night i stayed the night at my friends house and she lives in like the trees and they don't have street lights so the while neighborhood is dark...and she does't have a/c so we had to have all the windows open and we were sleeping right by the windows. so we were sittin watching what lies beneath and the other girl who was there was making really gross noises in her sleep so we decided to video tape it but we had to climb outside the window so she wouldn't see us and that fucking pennywise the clown was in her yard i swear. we both screamed ourselves shitless and almost fell off her deck. i didn't go to sleep until 6 that morning i was so scared that fucking clown was after me.
