Type of carpet/astroturf?

So I went to Home depot, and the cheapest stuff is just plain outdoor carpet, and it looks like it'll work pretty well. However, I only hear people on here talking about astroturf, which is crazy more expensive.
I'm wondering if this stuff will still work. It's got really short bristles and I don't think it's plastic...

Will this work if I wet and soap it down? And will it be fast enough? My drop in is like 8 feet tall for a flat 10 foot rail.

you might have to post pictures but if its just green turf it should work ours was pretty cheap, check out my pictures and vids

^Hmmm, the stuff I'm looking at isn't the turf stuff you have.
I don't think I can get pics easily, because the closest home depot is kinda far away.
It's not green. It's like a really short cloth mat carpet type thing. It's called outdoor carpet, so it might be more slippery than regular carpet.

Like I said, my drop in is tall so it doesn't need to be the slipperiest stuff.

Thanks.

just get some and try it, i mean, i got the cheapest stuff they had at home depot and its pretty legit turf so i dont know man

The only place I know of that uses "Astro Turf" is whaleback. That term is thrown around way toooo much. STOP. Most people use INDOOR OUTDOOR CARPET. IT is driving me bonkers when people use that word out of context. Astroturf is used at indoor soccer places

and requires sand to hold it up. MOST PEOPLE USE CARPET.

I am sure what you have will work fine as long as you use soap and water

i have indoor/outdoor carpet that i got at grossmans bargain outlet! it works fine with soap and water. o and i got the soap at the dollar store....found the biggest thing of shampoo i could and got a few of them! good luck dude!
