most likely not, because whether you believe it or not, the yellow ribbon is tainted with the Iraq war. To have one on your car says 'I support what our troops are doing' not just 'I support my neighbour who is in the national guard'. While some may be able to seperate the two, the vast majority can not reconcile this, and the yellow ribbon stickers have become synonymous with right wing republican war propagana.

No body dislikes the individual soldiers abroad, but that ribbon right now is synonymous with bush because he uses it as propaganda, saying Kerry doesn't care about the troops in a broad sense. The political baggage that the symbol carries ensure that anyone who doesn't support the Iraq war, cannot show that sticker

Everyone in my town supports Kerry and many have support out troops magnets on the backs of their cars. Many people know someone involved in the war or just want to support our troops overseas. I've been trying to collect things etc. to send the troops not beccause I support the war but because these people are over there giving their lives. Supporting the war means that you believe in what we are trying to accomplish, supporting the troops means you respect them for giving the lives for their country in my opinion.
