Two swedes doing a season in Breckenridge!!

Hello everyone :D

Me and my mate are going to do a season in breckenridge between 15 december to 15 march and we wonder if someone would want to live with us? We are going to live in a chalet that is suitable for about 3-4 persons and we are only two so if you are interested pm me :D

We are going to live in Tiger Run Resorts chalets and the price is good. It goes buses to the slopes for free continuous :D

don't put it on craigs list because you might wind up with a rapist room-mate. Just put it in regional forums or something.

Its living oppurtunitiies in breck, its bound to fill up with somebody from here

Our places are single family residences. They are small chalets in

a resort area with amenities, 3 miles from Breckenridge on the free

Sumitt Shuttle line. the chalet has a bedroom, full bath and full

kitchen and living area. the sofa makes into a bed and, or there is a

"short" loft for sleeping. Mattresses on the floor, and the height of

the loft is only 4 1/2 foot tall.

For the winter months we charge $1200 per month for 2 person

occupancy. There is a holiday surcharge for over Christmas and New

Years $250 per week. There is also a cleaning fee of $75 at the end of

your stay, applicable taxes and processing fee. Hope you saw the

yea totally the RV park. i clean the property's windows, the clubhouse, pool and what not. its an RV park with permanent "senior" living kind of. then some of them they just rent out for seasonal people like yourself. its a really nice place if you dont mind it being crowded as fuck and lots of kids running around the pool on holidays. ive never been inside chalet # 5 but its pretty nice inside chalet 35s. those are the one people actually live in year round. the people that manage it are super nice and really friendly. did i read somewhere 1200 bucks a month? thats an ok deal, not great but not terrible either. ive never been inside though so i dont know but judging off of price it should be more than decent for a season in breck if it includes everything which i assume it does.

the bus stops on the other side of the highway though so you have to cross it everyday which isnt too bad but in ski boots it sucks. it does drop you off on the house side though. both stops are directly in front of tiger run. 5 minute walk max from your chalet.

the pool/hot tub areas is nice but its really geared more towards old people and family vacation chillers. not so much super relaxing smoking blunts drinking beer kinda thing. they have a nice arcade setup and ping pong tables.
 
Thanks for the reply. It sounds okey and we know a couple of swedes who stayed there last year and they said it was good but the only negative about it is that its a couple of miles outside town. They recommended us finding a place in the town and I agree with them. It would make the all day life much easier like buying food and so on.

Really 1200 bucks a month isnt the whole price. There is a fee for internet and electricity. And you have to pay a fee just when you arrive . Thats if something breaks. If everything is in its shape when you leave you get back the money. So I would also say the price is okay. We have looked everywhere and this we just thought sounded good. I guess your from Breckenridge? Do you know another chalet or apartment or another place to stay for two persons? Could you recommend us something? And it would be really nice if it was in the centre of Breck. Thanks for all the help from you guys. See you in winter :D :D
 
yea thats really the only downfall. its pretty far outside of town. its actually the farthest point out of breck without actually being in frisco. besides farmers corner and what not by the school/swan mtn.

honestly though, you probably wont find anything thats actually IN breck for what youre getting in tiger run. you have your own place to chill and its not some couch surfing spot. its yours. anything you find IN breck will most likely be someones house or another townhouse option with mad dudes sleeping in every corner and a lease for 6 months or a year which isnt what youre trying to do.

shop around like my boy salty said. just depends on what youre looking for really. whatever you find will be dope though. its always fun up here.

 
Where is this "WAY" better place? We have looked everywhere. And you nearer you come breckenridge the expensiver it gets. And we are only two persons and I think that is the main problem. But if you know a way better place than this for two persons please let me know.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I live in the apartment complex directly across the street from the gondolas, literally, and it's $950 a month including EVERYTHING. You can find a two bedroom apartment around town for about that, especially in Warriors Mark. Keep Craigslisting for places... you're bound to find a better deal than that.
 
$1200 is a decent price, but not for a one bedroom that is 3 miles out of town with all those extra fees you clearly did not read. I said that he could get a two bedroom in town for that price.

Hey man, look in the classified section on www.summitdaily.com -- you have to be persistent but you can find some baller places for decent prices. I agree that you can find a better deal.
 
if you guys can find a place that is private and YOURS for under 1200 bucks a month that isnt a 6 month lease inside breck that doesnt totally suck balls with mad dudes let me know...

yea, tiger run is a shit hole compared to some 6 month contract places you can find in breck but hes only going for a 4 month period. and hes entering and leaving MID month. so that really only leaves him with month to month shit in breck or bumming it on someone else' contract. month to month in breck will be around the same price (if not MUCH higher) because no one in summit wants to deal with that shit unless the place is a mess or unless the place is extremely nice and sublet.

by the way guys, "chalet" is a nice term for trailer...
 
I was just gonna say... they really talked that place up. The farther away you are from a resort the cheaper it is. The good thing about Summit is the bus system. It's perfect because it goes everywhere. Or you can go find a super cheap, beater car and live in Silverthorne, Wildernest, Dillon Valley, Summit Cove (personal favorite), Frisco, Blue River, etc. Blue River is pretty sweet too. I love that neck of the woods.
 
Ive been in Wildernest for 2 years now paying $450 for EVERYTHING. Pool, tubs, sauna, cable, util. & internet. The place is small (& treehouse is the ghetto of the hill) but really its all you need...

I'm moving to a 5 br/ 2 ba & going up $100 in rent but have a fenced in yard and a huge front yard. Perfect for playing outside in the winter. We might need 2 roommates still. Oh, its in Frisco... Not as close to Breck but you get to avoid all the bar fights and cheap(er) women.
 
I'm cheap(er) because I pay $600 + utilities a month so I can live close to the mountain, my school, and town? Wow, low blow. I've never gone to a club/bar in my life. Keep your judgements in Frisco, thanks.
 
What the hell is this?

Anyway... I'm tired of paying $500 a month. I need to find some place cheaper. Ugh, hopefully I can find a car before I start ski instructing again. I hate hitch hiking up Loveland Pass everyday.
 
I just moved to breck i found my roommates on craigslist. breck is a way chill town. i pay 475 plus utilities a month and i live right down town. one of the chillest places to live for sure
 
treehouse is dope haha. i went from there to silver queen west, to aspen shadows, to silver queen east. wildernest is so much fun.
 
I think the main problem guys is that we are only two persons right now and that we are living there from 15 december to 15 march. Can we fill it with two more persons its gonna get aloooooot cheaper. You guys paying 500 bucks a month? Arent you living there permanent or atlest for a six month contract?

This is true. I would keep lookin' though. Talk to people that live there to the best of your ability. Look for people with extra rooms for cheap closer to the mountain.
 
shit im doing the same thing. I already got my roommates figured out though now I just need a job and a place to live.
 
You're quick to judge... I wasn't doggin on Breck. Read more carefully before you react... What I was trying to express was the level of aggression and sleaze that can be found throughout Breck. Bar fights are nightly and the "snow bunnies" are easy. Frisco has much different vibe because it doesn't get the hoards of tourists. Don't get me wrong, I love Breck... But I love Breck because I like to get black-out wasted every so often and dance the night away with people who I'll never see again. So please, before you tell me to "keep my judgements in Frisco" understand what I am talking about, if you have never been out to the bars in Breck, than you don't have an opinion on what I was saying. Thanks :)
 
I'm kinda sad to leave. But I bet you'll agree when I say I'm pretty excited to not have to drive 20mph all the way up the hill behind some Texan :) And I get to crash on my own couch after a Wednesday night instead of stagin it at midnight back to wildernest.
