This video is pretty amazing. It really shows how stupid the arguments of some people can be. Listening to the republican debates makes me cringe when this issue comes up.
 
not really, the guy being raised in taht enviroment now thinks being gay is perfectly normal, which it is perfectly not. no body said that 2 gay people cant love a kid.
 
OR you could listen to the countless arguments by people that gay people can't raise a kid which is also why gay people can't adopt many places. That's fucking stupid when you have all these kids who won't be adopted and there are people willing to adopt them and you say NO YOU CAN'T.

So you're saying because he was raised by two gay parents he was not raised correctly due to his belief that being gay is "ok."

I've been raised by a mom and dad, i have a brother and sister who were both raised the same way as me and are now 24 and 20 respectively. We have no anger towards, gays, and we believe it is perfectly fine. My sister's best friends are gay, she doesn't believe it's wrong and neither do I. It is in fact, perfectly normal. Maybe not by your standards, but by my families and I.
 
Well it all comes down to wether you think being gay is ok or wrong. Im a christian so i think its wrong. But that doesnt mean that i hate gay people or think there any less human then the rest of us. What i do think is wrong is allowing kids to raised in a situation that promotes something i think is wrong. But since now everybody is gonna cry out their not your kids you dont have any say yayayayayaya hurr duuurr. I guess ill just have to adopt all the children in the world.
 
LOL. My entire family is made up of devout catholics and have no problems with gays. Every single person in my family excluding my sister, brother, and I goes to church every single Sunday, sometimes even Saturday to, and they have nothing against gays, nor do they think being gay is "wrong."
 
I dont have a problem with the people themselves, but rather the homosexuality part. And could you tell me why you dont think being gay is wrong?
 
I think that every single person on this planet should be able to believe in and act upon whatever feelings, emotions, or ideas they have assuming that those actions are not putting innocent people in danger. In my mind, being gay puts nobody in danger, as you can see above, that man is perfectly capable of making intelligent decisions, and to the extent of my knowledge has and is going to continue leading a successful life. His up-bringing is hurting no one and I'm sure the same can be said about any child raised in a gay household.
 
It's two normal people in a relationship, just like anyone else. Just because it's different from what you're used to doesn't make it wrong. Inb4 your argument, "Well, two men can't make a baby, and that's what god made us for hurr durrrrrr."

Not at all. The issue here is that ignorant people believe that two men or two women are incapable of raising a child. What's retarded is that these people who bitch mindlessly about the need for a proper family to raise a child on the issue of gay marriage, don't seem to have a problem with single parents raising kids.

Just because it doesnt say in the new testament means nothing. The bible codones murder, stealing and lieing in the old testament but people dont argue that there ok. And i never said two people of the same sex could not raise a child. Thats not hard at all. I said i dont think its right that that a child can be raised thinking that being homo is normal and alright. Thats my opinion. Your is that its fine.
 
He is a phenomenal speaker, and seems to really have a great head on his shoulders. I'm sure he'll end up going a lot further in life than certain other kids raised by straight parents.

you have not provided any argument to say WHY IT IS WRONG. youre just going in circles saying its wrong since they say its wrong, and believing it is right is wrong since christianity says its wrong.

But see, you can't tell me WHY you have your opinion, and the fact is, you don't have a why. There is nothing in the Bible explicitly condemning homosexuality.
 
AND: dont say 'its my opinion and youre entitled to yours' - thats bullshit. Yes you are entitled to your opinion to an extent, but not when your opinion is in direct opposition to the freedom of another person.

I didn't read the whole thread and I by no means agree with the kid who think homosexuality is wrong but this seems to be full of double standards. Everyone is yelling at this kid say that gay people can think and do whatever they want (which i agree with) and yet they're doing the same thing. This kid can think and believe what he wants, stop trying to convince him other wise.

I believe that everyone should just stay out of each others business and let them do them, gay or straight.

The bible is made up of tons of different books written by many different people all through a span of well over a 1000 years. Did you, in your infinite brilliance, every think that different writers may have different writing styles. Say i take 20 different books about hinduism do you think some might just have somethings ment to be taken literal and some might have metaphors etc. Maybe?

Because I don't see how the gender matters in a relationship. I think that if you're willing to stand up in front of all your friends and family and God and honestly commit yourself to another human being, well, that IS a marriage. That kind of true partnership - for better or for worse, in sickness and in health - that is real, and that is special. That's all that matters. Whether or not that bond pertains to a same sex couple is completely unimportant. And besides, how many girls get legally married...to a man...in a church...and then get divorced soon after?
