now i have my clip recorded at 720p 60 fps (59.97). i have my frame blending at pixel motion. i have also set my input frame rate at 59.97 for the twixtor effect. and following this video i still manage to get "warping" when i have slowed the clip down to 3% even with the exact same properties as the tutorial vid. now it seems i am missing something obvious but i can not see it. what do i do?

here is the vid i am trying to follow:

It's not magic, it's not gonna work perfectly unless you have the perfect shot, the background needs to be pretty much still or blank (like the sky) for it to work well, if there is alot of detail moving, shit will warp.

Shoot at a higher shutter speed, and maybe go up to 10+ percent speed if that doesnt ruin the shot

bump.

so i just got it to fuck around with some warping and shit. does it bog down anyone else's fcp? ever since i got the plugin, rendering takes longer than usual, and when i do warp something it takes a minimum of 5 mins to render and when i try to play it back my FCP freezes for a couple minutes. any ideas?

doesn't surprise me that it does that; it requires a lot of CPU and RAM to run twixtor and FCP simultaneously.

would you recommend "buying" after effects and learning how to do it in there? i would see that as counter intuitive during the editing process.

somebody let me know if they have the same issues! it couldn't possibly be this much of a pain in the ass.

higher shutter speeds while filming and messing around with the speed of the actual clip in fcp. you dont want the background to be to "busy" while shooting. and it helps to be well lit. i am using it in after affects and i would much prefer to use it in fcp. did you torrent twixtor for fcp?

heath had it right, you need a certain kind of shot for it to work well, and it will slow down your computer, it takes a lot of processing power to run
