Twisted knee.

Basically, what happend was that I was skiing with my mate and we were in some pow+trees and then we came off this drop off. My friend stopped and I just proceeded to pop off the drop off. I landed fine but my friend just kinda skied down behind me and some how he caught the tail of my skis and I washed out. So I'm sitting there on the ground in the pose of a little kid who has to pee really bad. Some how during this whole thing I twisted my knee pretty bad. Only 1 though which was odd.

We were out on a trip so I didn't want to just stop skiing cause we had a whole nother day ahead of us. I just hit up a drug store, got some icy hot and tylenol and manned the fuck up for the rest of the day and the day ahead.

That's what I think the problem was. I shouldnt have kept skiing on it. It still kinda has an ache feeling when I turn my knee. Especially when I swing my legs around for spins and it has been a week already.

Any suggestions on what to do? Or should I just keep icing it on and off.

probably

probably try not to move it when not skiing

if it gets too bad go to a doctor

im actually not sure what im talking about though so dont trust me

I have a week till I ski again anyways so I think it will be good by then if I keep icing it.

But any other suggestions are cool.

I don't want to sound like an over protective mother, but I would get it checked out if it continues to hurt because you don' what to have this come back.

Sounds like meniscus to me. Has it gotten better at least? If it's just been feeling all shitty and achey for a week and not gotten any better, then definitely get it checked out. Knees are not something you take lightly. Probably the most important part of a skiers body.

It a lot better definitely. The day I got off the slopes when I did it, it was harder to walk even though I could walk and it hurt pretty bad. I woke up that morning and it felt a bit better. Then I just skied for 4-5 hours that day and after it actually felt a bit better. It just started acting up a bit today oddly and it's been a week.

stretch and ice, i tweeked my knee almost more than a month ago now and it still is kinda sketch

Usually tweaked knees like this go away within a week or two. If not, then you might have hurt your meniscus or a ligament, but if you're walking and skiing on it then I doubt it.

Just go light on the aggressive sports for a while and ice it.
