Twista Turns Indianapolis Into Stinkonia; Suffering Residents Call Firefighters

Twista caused quite a stink Sunday night in Indianapolis, when his tour bus unloaded approximately 200 gallons of sewage on the city's downtown streets.

The rapper was in town to perform a concert at a nearby theater when someone hit a switch that dumped the waste. The sewage, which police said was mostly liquid, clogged a gutter and started to flow toward the downtown Omni Hotel driveway. The foul odor led employees of the hotel to call police and fire officials to deal with the problem, Indianapolis police said.

Firefighters eventually hosed the waste off the street after checking in with health and public-safety officials. The sewage was initially considered to be a biohazard concern.

A citation was issued to Twista's manager on a local ordinance violation for dumping. He must appear in Indianapolis environmental court on June 12, which could result in a court-imposed fine, according to a police spokesperson.
