Twintips + Ice?

I gotta race with the school team, usually did it with my atomic carving skis. I acutally like the feel of carving on my Dynastar TMs better, but I"m just wondering with those icey conditions on the racehill, will they hurt the weird lookin edges of the TMs? (I don't grind by the way if that matters)

Go for a pair of all mountain carve skis. high school racing is a joke. you don't need race stock to compete, but twin tips might suck, since they are softer, they aren't ment for carving or uber icy conditions.

i don't care as long as the bassline is pumpin / the drumline bangin away / make one move and i'll blow you away / one false move and i'll blow you away

therefore - nearly EVERY current pro is gay...wow what a revelation

 
yeah i raced on my old shitty beat up 1080s this year and it was pretty tough because i didnt have edgers and theyre 3 year old 1080s that are soft as hell

If you don't do rails, then you still have edges. If you still have edges, TMs are great for carving. I know people that have raced in the midwest, the iciest place you can go, with twins; they did fine.

I never said I was taking the racing seroiusly, or else I'd have race skis =/ Its just my excuse for a day off and If i didn't race or fucked around too much (like your switch skiing idea heh) i'd probably get kicked off and would have to spend my day in school :O.

And my atomics are all mountain carvers, just havne't decided to bring 2 pairs or just bring the twins. Guess i'll see then, thanks for the replies.

true, but there are a lot of skiers that did race and as gay as it is, and it is REALLY gay it does push in many ways as a skier.

haha, the midwest, the iciest place you can go. Have u ever been to the east coast, all we ski here is ice, theres no such thing as snow. anyway if u want some stiff twins u can try the head madtrix but those might be somewhat wide
