Twintip or carvingskis?

I'm about to buy a pair of twintipskis, but I've never really tried downhillskiing at all (just snowboard). I got a tips about starting out with carvingskis so I lern the basics of skiing (something that's easier with carvingskis than twintip's, as I've been told).

So what do you think? Is there any pair's of twintips that's good both in the park and also the hill? Or should I start out with carvingskis?

K2 public enemys are supposed to be good all mountain, im getting mine this weekend (cant open till christmas tho)

i suggest getting a stictly carving ski! twin-tips suck!

How good are you with the snowboard.

If your coordination is good you'll pick up quickly. And in terms of skis, well you can pick some carving skis for like 100 bucks from any store when twin tips will run you for at least 300

And I like my Armadas and Madtrix these are better then the cheap carving skiis I had before.

Madtrix is by far the best all mountain ski I tried. You can buy these for 220 ca in Sport Mart.

180 is the only size left though or 190.

or your could buy carving skis with a turned up tail, not a true twin but it will kinda work for just starting. I think last years rossignol Axium had turned up tails

i have tweaks and theyre great for all mountain. Ive also seen quite a few people with 1080s who dont ski park and just use them as carvers. If you want a carving ski tho, look for line mavericks from last year or salomon scramblers. they have turned up tails.

Get a good pair of carving skis and go to Sport mart and pick up a pair of 2002 mad trixx for $149 to learn how to ski park. You will kill your core and top sheet learning rails so you might as well use a cheaper priced pair of skis for that.

I would go with the Bandits for a carving/ off piste ski and Mad Trixx for the park- also a pretty good all mountain ski

Life is tough. Get over it!!!

Dude get the mad trix from sportmart for sure

149 is the price if you buy bindings from them for the full price, they are 189 if you dont buy bindings. And to be honest I like mad trix way more than my 500$ armadas ar5 for all mountain skiing that is.

retards...all twin-tips are basically carving skis...

i hope harvey bans you just so i can piss on your digital grave.

learn to ski, humble yourself and get some rentals, or borrow your friends stuff. no need to but equipment if you dont have any expirience

I'd say that if possible do your fist few days on rentals, just incase you hate skiing, then you havent spent alot of money on stuff you arnt gonna use again. but yah you definatly dont need to waste the money on getting carve spesfic skis to start with, the K2 public enemy is probably your best bet, its cheap and preforms very well just about everywhere.

you wont have any problem learning to ski with a twintip theyre so easy to ride anyway.
