I would like to pick up a pair of twin tip skis, but I also enjoy powder and do regularly trail ride with friends.. so need something that still carves well..

also, what size would be best at 5' 11"?

weight? how hard do you ski?

check ar6s, chronics, blends, prophet 90/100, walls, reno jibs/rockers

wow , the line prophet 100's seem to be what I am after... maybe I'll take a look in the stores when I am down in Killington..

Thanks

The prophet 90/100's are both sick. totally solid skis, stiff though. I got last years blend, and its pretty dope 9same dimensions as the prophet 90, but different construction, so its a little softer, and better in the park. I love them. This years are sick too. I weigh 175 and I'm on 179's (which is actually longer, with line skis) If i were you i'd go either 179 or 186, depending on your ability. But it sounds like you need 179 based on the way you worded your post

I'd say take a look at

Rossignol S5

Line Prophet 100

Line Blend

Surface Watch Life

Moment Tahoe

Salomon Gun

K2 Obsethed

K2 Kung Fujas

Armada ARV

Volkl Bridge

4FRNT VCT

4FRNT MSP

and for your height and weight I'd be looking for something between 180 and 185 give or take, your decently tall at 5'11" and heavy enough where more length will add to stability when tanking down the mntn and will add more float in the pow, you also lose a bit of length when you get a twin, just from the tail itself, and the mount which gives you less nose and more tail

I have the Volkl Bridges and they are a pretty sick all around ski. I wouldnt recommend them if you are skiing mostly park but so far i have used them in all conditions and on all types of trails and i have no complaints at all. I am 5'9 and weigh 170. i went with 177s but only because i couldnt get my hands on the 185s...

blends and prophet 100's are solid choices... and if you want something similar in width but a little softer, you can also take a look at bacons. 179's on prophets and blends and 182 on bacons.... are you gonna do any park skiing, or all mountain ony?

check out the kung fujas......best all mountain ski EVER. sooo glad i picked them up. great carving ski, floats in pow, soft enough to shred park. definitely look into these

prophet is more all mountain get the blends there the same sonstruction as the prohhet just instead of the metal thing (mental block and forgot what its called) its made out of carobon makeing the blends lighter

the 09 volkl wall wall is sick im getting a pair the 09 ones are durable, and they are god in the park and all mtn plus they have a 87 underfoot
