TWINS? CARVE? COMBO?

I'm getting my new skis soon (Southern Hemisphere winter) and I wanna get a ski that works for carving, off-piste, and beginners park.

I'd kinda like to get twins except I'm worried I'll just look like a poser 'cause I'm not that great at park ...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Ta, Elle :)

best to post this on moosh if your an aussie, but if you want a stiff twin try the elan m02 rail, it has an extra edge under foot in the center of the ski stiffining it under foot and also allowing more durabality on rails

in the words of line "why shouldent a ski have a back tip? ur just limiting what u can do without it" "since when has a snowboared been called twin tiped?"

The k2 Public enemy is more of an all mountain ski than most park skis, I would suggest that. They do everything well, and they aren't too stiff or soft... just right.

yeah, dont worry about what you look like. theres no better way to halt progression than skiing a ski that will hold you back.

PEs are solid, but they are heavy, and take a bit more muscle to toss around in the park.

sal foils are good if your lighter

the elans are shitty. dont get them

karmas are a great ski, but it also takes some muscle to ski in the park.

chronic blends

head mojo 80s for sure

k2 silencers are a decent suggestion too.

i think this is the first thread where everyone wasnt concerned about what someone/they look like. im suprised we didnt get any "shut up noob, go get some race skis"

If your just getting into park, then something cheep. Fujis, Silencers.....i don't know how they ride, but i have heard good things. Heads Mad Trix carve like MAD, but they are super stiff, and heavy.

I have always found that salomon is always a great starter, all terrain. Move up as you progress.

PEs are definately sick for that, unless you ski really deep pow I guess. I prefer to see people who are good at skiing and just starting to try park and not being good at it then kids who live in the park, but embarass themselves trying to ski down to the lift. everyone sucked at park at some point so if anyone acutally gives you shit they're just assholes.

Thanks for all the tips!

By the way, I'm a chick ... any good female twins which work for all-mountain?

Cheers :)

PS. To Bobaburg: hehe, i like your comment. I am definitely in the category of people who can ski down a hill but are very much beginners in the park :p

if your a girl then get the miss demenoers

^ you my friend are a dickhead and aso quit possibly a poser

Chronic wides in australia for a beginner chick who wants a ski that carves well???

if some one calls you a poser then they are a ass hole and don't wan't the twin tip market to grow. Prefer the industry was just a few bankrupt "core" companies. which unfortunatly about 30% of this site is. but yea Karmas or foils would be gould.

yes mad trix. i have 01s. they are fun, might be too much for you if you a slim girl. then again i ride 181 and weigh 155 pounds.

Are Miss Demeanors basically just a chick version of the P.E.'s?

Carvable?

Cheers for all the suggestions, guys ...

Elle :)

^no i am calling him a poser because he is recommending a pair of chronic wides to a girl who wants a ski that carves well

The wider base is not the best for a good carve ski

He just likes dropping names of the new skis and hence is a poser

And you my friend may also quite possible have shit stains on your dick
