I don't understand this thread, why do you people follow along with this bullshit? It's immature. Grow up, 9/11 was a terrible disaster, and of course, just like any disaster, crackpots are going to start flinging conspiracy theories around. But come on, use your brains.

There is no unsolved mystery here, they know why the buildings fell why they did. AND it does not look like demolition charges went off in the building. I repeat, the whole basis of your argument is moot because the twin towers coming down does not resemble a building coming down with charges expertly placed, even if those charges were placed high up in the building.

I'm sorry, but these kinds of threads make me mad, I can't believe there are people that still cling on to these notions, its ridiculous and makes arguing against them all the more frustrating.

I feel like I'm a special Ed. student when I argue on the internet, so I'm done. You guys can work out whether it was THE MAN that blew up the towers or not

 
The list of collapsed buildings (as confirmed by the New York Times through Saturday, 2001.0915) included all seven buildings of the World Trade center complex — including WTC 6, the U.S Customs House to the north; WTC 3, the 22 story Marriot World Trade Center hotel just west of Tower Two; and WTC 4 and 5, the Plaza Buildings to the east (although satellite images suggest much of WTC 5, the north Plaza Building, was still standing). Other nearby buildings were significantly damaged, including the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, and One Liberty Plaza, a 54 floor, 743' tall building across Church Street to the east.

Totally false. First of all Jet fuel burns at extreamly high temperatures. More than hot enough to bring steel to its boiling point at the right conditions. When a structure colappses it begins a domino effect. The lage mass above the point of impact was what was necessary for the collapse. While the steel what being turned into mush the structure was getting ready to collapse. So when one beam colappsed it transfered the weight it was holding to the other beams. The way the towers were constructed this caused a massive collapse that came straight down on the remaining structure. The forces here are huge air pressure and gravity colappsed the building. Also in a controled demolition they use this same method. The place charges on certian beams and thats it. They dont just put a massive ammount of explosions in the basement. foolish arguments

how do they know if they can take two planes crashing? it wasnt tested. yeah they have math equations and all that jazz but im sure that doesnt always just match up. though back in the day july 28 1945 a b-25 bomber crashed into the empire state building. with standing that. i know a b-25 probably doesnt way as much and i know it doesnt go as fast. but thats just a little fact.

In response to you apple. While the fire may not have actually melted the steel I can assure you that it's yield stress became lower, as in it had a lesser ability to hold loads. Again, analagous to you taking your lighter and holding it to say a pen for the appropriate time. Although it may not be melting, it still bends easier. Now lets also remember that some of those beams were taken out to begin with. A plane might have a tendancy to do so. Therefore, the load distribution changed and adding further stess to the beams. If I am not mistaken, as my life is not spent on the internet looking things like this up, the tower that was hit second was hit lower, and did it not go down first? If not, disregard that.

In conclusion don't patronize me. Having not been in engineering, have you learnt that maybe it is not just as simple as you might think it to be?

I stoped arguing about the towers a long time ago, and you kids havnt kept up. Right now, i want you to tell me what happened with building 7. Building 7 is the binding point to the whole conspiricy theory argument. No plane, Further away than the millinum hilton and Bankers trust (which had a large portion of one of the towers actuall fall onto it, while it was on fire, and it did not collapse). And you have video evidence of the owner saying he was going to pull the building. Once again, There is no way a team of qualified engineers could have been found, preped and gone into the building to set the chargers in a matter of hours (it normaly takes weeks) while the building was actually on fire.

That and other little facts like that all 4 of the hijacked planes only had 20% occupancy on a day when the avrage transcontenental flight had 86% occupancy. This was blamed on a computer error.

You also cant disregard the fact that the raw materials were sent overseas to be melted down before anyone could get in to analyze them. All the black box recorders were carted away by the FBI and nothing from them has ever been released.

there is also the little fact that out of the 20 hijackers, almost half have turned up alive and well in countries around the world. Thats a mind boggler, isnt it? youd think that after flying a plane into a building they would have been killed. You also have peices of evidence like the passport of one of the terrorists which was found out the streets by police, aparently fell out of the hijackers pocket through the plane, through the fireball and landed safly on the sidewalk... The bag of plans which the hijackers left at airport security with much of their indentification... Alot of this stuff does not add up.

You still havnt been able to explain why Norad stood down that morning...

I belive you that the planes on their own could have brought down the towers. But if the hijackers who supposedly flew the planes into the buildings are alive... then who was on the planes?

I dont dissagree with alot of what is in the popular science article, But I do find it kinda funny how they say "World Trade Center towers--and the smaller WTC 7 a few hours later--initially surprised even some experts" but then dont go back and touch on WTC 7. I still wanna know why that building came down if it wasnt for a controlled demolition. Please, Please prove me wrong.
