i'm not to good at picking out skis. actually, for the longest time i just picked which skis looked the 'prettiest'. i need some twin tips, and any suggestions of what to buy would really help. i can get these brand new line 1260's for real cheap from this guy... what does everyone else think?

5'2' and 120 lbs. the line 1260's are 163 i think.

the 1260s are 164. you could get salomon 1080s in 161. what year are the 1260s? if they're 00/01 theyll fall apart easy. if theyre 01/02 they should last awhile.

well sonya, outa experience i must say that the 1260 has a cheap feel to it, plus it doesn't hold its own outside the park. Now every1 knows about the 1080 hype, but its worth it. It isn't a center mounted ski, but, it still spins like a dream and has great balance. Plus the 161, and 169 look so much better then the line 1260

 
its a toss up.....the new 1080's are really really sweet looking. but the 1260's are only going to cost me $150. but i heard the same things about the 1260's--that they're cheap feeling. i don't know.

depends how much ur lookin to spend.. and how much ur gonna ski. if ur not gonna ski alot.. go with the 1260s, if ur planning to be on the mountain every day, then ull want to invest in a good pair that will perform. in that case the 1080s or concepts.

 
theres not too much needed performance wise in ohio though..but yea 150 is hard to beat for new lines

 
I would also recommend 1080's. Ive skied on alot of different twins and the 1080s are still my fav. I have had my pair for 3 seasons already and they have held up great. Before that I blew up 4 pairs of skis in 3 seasons. They are a decent all mountain ski and kill in the park and pipe. Personally they are the best ski out there. I mean ideally we would probably all want a set of skis for the park and another for riding the mtn but some people cant afford to spend that much or justify it. If you have the opportunity to demo some of the skis you are interested in and decide that way. BUt i think you will love the 1080

 
i have the 168 rossignol scratch fs and they are super sick. i liked them alot more then my 1080s that i used to have. but 168 may be to big for u.

hey sonya, i rode the 03 171 1080s for a week at camp. i am thesame size as you... and they were damn fun. i think i am gonna get the 161's though, just to make thigs a bit easier. but i was comparing the scratch fs and the 1080s, and ive heard alot of good and bad shit about both, but that naked lady silouhette on the sratch just dpesnt do it for me, u know? yeah, i cant picture myself skiing around with that pic on my skis... although im sure the guys would like it.

 
I'm 5'5, 100 pounds. I'm on some old 165 Concepts (the red and grey ones). $300 Canadian $$$.

I don't have much to compare them to, but I enjoy them.

 
dont get 171.. thats huge. i'm 5'3 and have 161 1080s..

yo sonya its gav go with a less expensive ski. i now how u ski and how much u ski/being a snow bunny. but if its quality u want 1080's r it. o and sonya isn't fat but she does have nice boobs!!

GET THE 1260 ITS A DEAL AT 150 AND I AM NOT A LINE FAN.

As you might have noticed evryone has there opinion and favorite ski just get what you think will work for you all ill say is based on your dimentions dont go bigger than 165 MAX.
