ok, so i am a good skiier, but am now getting into the freestyle scene. right now i have rental dynastar 4x4 untill i can buy some skis at the end of the season, but i hace a chance to trade them in for twintips for $30. is it worth it?

Yea, if your getting into freestyle you shouyld go for it. Its only 30 bucks its not like buying a new pair of skis right away.

Uh... 4x4s are fucking awesome freeride skis dude, I'd keep those unless you're getting damn good twins for them.

 
depends on the kind of twins. you dont really need twins right away when you start doing freestyle stuff. i dont have twins and have been riding switch all over the place. i havent taken off switch yet, but ive landed some 180s no problem without twins. if they're good twintips then definitely go for it, but if they're old crappy ones keep what you have.

min enemies are rasonable skis, Im skiing them now, they are holding up well, no problems that ive found.

Twin Tips r some of the most versitile skis you can buy. There amazing in the park, and the average 1 is amazing off the mountain as well and there always wider so there pro in pow as well. The only thing they cant do is a race course but if you own twins ur not going to race anyway. go twins

 
I've won races with teneightys on, but I guess it helps that I'm just damn good.

^you don't need twins to get into freestyle. The only part of freestyle that you need twins for is going switch. You don't need to go switch until you learn the basic railslides and airs. Yeah he will eventually need twins but not with how much is left in the season.

 
no, you people are stupid. Imadgine if he was asking this and the twins he was thining of getting were teh shittiest twin in the wolrd and the other ski was the best non twin or whatever, then he shoudl go for the non twin, think abotu the skis he mentioned.
