I raced (i know, i know) for 9 years...i'm 16 now and i weigh 125 pounds but i ski hard. im on 160's right now..race skis though. but im looking to buy a pair of skis to ski powder, backcountry and maybe a little park. any suggestions??

I'm sorta feeling something from Salomon here.

I'm going to say Salomon 1080 Gun in Size 165. If you want a ski for mostly BC and powder, this would be the ticket.

haha. yeah. if this girl raced for 9 years, im shure she could ski pretty much any park ski no probl. and with that, id suggest:

4frnt stl (would be a perfect all mountain ski for you)

last years Eric Pollard pros in a 168 (also a perfect all mt ski)

volkl karmas or dodgens

TMs or big troubles

sal. foils

but yeah, my number one suggestion would be the 4frnts. the stl comes in a 167, which would be perfect. the flex and width are also money for riding everything. mounted like 3 back, theyd be perfect. they are super energetic skis, and carve beautifully. especially if your comming from that background, i think youd really like them. i cannot get over how good a ski it is.

Line Shadows are gonna be sick if they are any bit comparable to the chronics which they are said to be!

i have the missdemeanors and i love them, not exactly wide enough for a real powder day but fun as hell.

you might want to look at the celebrity, it is 90 underfoot so it should be good in powder and in the park.

i also have the head mojo 90 for women, sweet fat thang, those are great in powder but would suck in the park because they are soooo stiff.

all three of the above are women's twin tips...hope it helps.

i ride the new fujatives, which are an excellent ski. however, i suggest the line celebrities or shadows, though if you want a true girls ski. i hear they are good.

stop assuming that all girls need girls skis. If she raced and loves to ski hard then chances are ski can handle most guys skis out there just as well as the rest of you can. I'd suggest a 169 Seth Vicious. Mount em' up maybe +3 if you are worried about them being a little long.

i don't that it really has to do with them being too long, it has more to do that most companies who are producing women's skis are making them lighter and more designed for how women ski and where out weight is distributed over the skis. that's why i tell all the girls the should try to buy women's specific...dynastar has done a great job with this.

K2 misdamenor is the only pure womens park ski. either that or the ski that sarah burke skis, the volkl dogen. i ride it it is sweet

Yea but they are such shitty quality. I rode mine for 3 days and they looked like complete shit. The dogens are sweet skis, but i doubt they last more than a season

caroline, wait 'till next year. I know salomon is coming out with women specific twins, and the ladies i've talked to loved them. I can only assume other compaines are going to do so as well.

depends on what you ski, if you ski a lot of hard park, dont get missdemeanors, get like shadow's...celebrity is better for all mtn. and arw are pretty sweet for park

line shadow if your more into park and line celebrity if your more into all mountain and pow... although i bet they'd be fine in the park too..

you really dont have to said Twin Tip.. i think its implied with i need skis. this is newschoolers as if were going to recomend race skis

were you even listening she wants a pow ski that also works in the park, not a park ski

get the line celebrity
