I'm considering buying a pair of twin tips but I'm not sure. I want a pair that's good for chicks, works well for jibbing and groomers/carve ... any suggestions? And what size would be good? I'm 170cm. Thanks heaps :)

listen to him he knows his shit when it comes to seth-pistols. i also have a pair they rip in the park as well as anywhere else on the mountain.

any ski will be fine. there is no necessity for a women's specific ski for any person. don't waste your money on girly graphics when any other ski will suffice.

^Marie Martinod's pro model, one length only (160something, I think, might be 150something)... if you want a chick ski buy ARWs or Celebs, but I personally don't understand why there's a market for any of them. Graphics graphics graphics, I guess.

I dont see how its wasting ur money if u dont have a pair of skis and ur a chick and u like the graphics better why not get them? Did i miss southin or are guys skis free for chicks?

Skiing isn't a matter of life and death. It's much more important than that!'

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just gonna ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later"

the line celebrities are the lightest ski, other than the goode carbon fibre skis, i have ever manhandled. taht is why a girl would want to buy them

shadows or the arws. i have PEs and they are definitely a little too heavy. i'd like to look into girl specific skis

This is why women want to buy skis made for them. Womens skis are not just guys skis with women's graphics. Women are built different than guys and therfore should have a ski built for them. The flex pattern of the ski is generally 15 to 20% softer and therefor lighter. This allows women who generally (sorry ladies no offense) are not as strong as guys and do not have the weight to throw a ski around to be able to manuever easier with a ski that is built to their specs not ours. Last but not least women have a lower center of gravity then men, thus meaning that their weight is distrubutied on the ski differently and thus the mounting point is usually 1 to 2cm forward of the mounting point for men.

the softer flex thing is correct. so on the cheaper end of the spectrum, the invaders and fujatives will also work well.

personal preference is also a huge factor. i really don't like the line shadows because they are too soft for me and a little chattery at speed. this is cause i'm used to riding old mad trix which are glorified 2x4s. quite possibly the stiffest twin ever. but i'm definately going to upgrade to something fatter this year.

try and demo some models if you can. the missdemeanors have the same dimensions as the old pes.

Sugarloafer is right, women have a different center of gravity then men, and therefore require a ski that has a flex pattern catered to them. Womens skis generally are lighter weight, with different, softer flex patters that cater to the way that they ski. Regardless of how agressive they are.
