Twin tip with all mountain ski

Im looking for a ski that is good in the park but can also be used all over the rest of the mountain, im not too concerened with how it handels powder because there arent many big powder days at bluemountaion (atleast not any of the times ive been there) im about 5'6 and only weigh about 110 pounds so i dont know what size of a ski i would want either. (this would be my first twin.) thanks alot guys

 
i think the question is what can you ski and how good are you? most twins are the same, all your performance depends on is yourself, if you really believe that you equipment effects how you ski that much than you shouldn't be skiing, get whatever you want and if you don't like it you've learned something rather than asking to be told what to get

papa im just saying it seems as though (from what ive read) that some skiis have advantages over others when it comes to being able to hold up to the whole mountain. (ie. not too flexable or you wont have too much control carving groomers)

 
what size skis do you ride?

im thinking about public enemys.i dont care too much for the graphics but i would rather have a good ugly ski than a cool looking one that is garbage.

 
pes are good, 1080s are supposed to be good, ive ridden the enemies and they are basically an all mountain ski with a twin tip, you can pick those up for like 150 now, be a good first season then rail ski. Pretty much all the skis made by major ski companies are all mountain twins. They will handle just fine carving and such until you decide to learn rails

I actually wanted to learn rails right away :) how fast to the edges wear away when you start sliding on rails?

 
it depends on the quality of the rail and the type of rail. a flat will kill edges quicker than a round due to more surface area. And if the rails arent nice and smooth on top, the skis can take core shots. So basically, when you learn rails, say good bye to carving on groomers. And prolly the skis warranty too

The 1080s are good but check out the K2 axis . theyre a twin tip but there awesome for carving and moguls.

V-Pros are awesome. Stiffests twintip I've flexed for sure. They don't have a whole lot of sidecut, but who likes short turns anyway?

 
I am a personal fan of the concepts by Dynastar. I have the Concept Pro (Candide Model) and the handle the whole mountain quite nicely, not so hot in powder, but really, thats not a problem for me because we don't get powder here in Boise. I personally like it because it handles very well in most conditions. Yeah, it is also true that it depends on how good you are as well, you could have the sickest skis ever and be the worst skier out there (trust me I know because really, I am one of them). I have also heard a lot of good things from the pocket rockets as an all around good ski. Really, you could go with whatever you want, but these would be a couple of my top choices. One mjore thing, you can generally find the concepts for pretty cheap (at least compared to other models oput there). Well, good luck buddy. As far as size though, I can't really help ya, I am 6'1 and 165 lbs and I skie on 180 cm. If you want more of an all-mountain feel, try to get them as tall as you are (or at least close to your height).

PEs would be great. I have this years PEs ( they are that ugly) and theyre great at all mountain. I even ran a school race through them (i filled in for someone).
