Twin tip that carves hard

Have noticed the lighter weight of the 21/22 Ranger 102 FR as they all seem a little lighter than they were in 19/20. Got the shop to check the weights of my 184cm pair in 2020 and they ranged from around 2025gr each to my set which were just under 2100gr each.

They never were a super quiet ski even back then so I doubt the 2022 “lighter”version would ski that much different. Won’t be as damp as the Enforcers but found the Fishers are much more willing to go straight at speed with better edge grip than my Enforcer 104s. Fishers are stiffer and more precise.

The Enforcer 110 was updated a few years back so it got heavier when it received the carbon chassis and true tip updates the 104 had. Very similar weight, flex and turning radius between the 191cm versions of the 104 and 110 now. The Enforcer 115 Free would be a bit more stable at higher speeds than either with it’s longer turning radius but similar updates to the narrower versions.

Another option would be the 192cm MFree 108 which has similar weight and flex(MFree a touch stiffer underfoot) and doesn’t mind higher speeds.

If you were in Europe where they still stock of the 21 190cm CT 3.0 (at Sport Bittl) you’d get a ski with similar weight to the longer skis above but with even more stability and better carving ability. Hard to come by in the States now though…

[tag=249646]@Greg_K[/tag] do you remember my 2020 191 numbers 102FR ? I have a pair of 2022 I can throw up on scale later today

CT 3.0 is in stock in europe, its a wider, heavier chargy version

I find the 102 Fr is more playful and almost as chargy as CT 3.0 but both are very good, but 102 FR can be flexed into shorter turns.

very good skis.

I have the enforcer 110 in quiver as well, its my "superdupertight" treeski, its not very chargy at all, I have the 2020? 185 or is it 186?

enforcer 104 and 110 are both less chargy than 102 FR imho, they are very flappy

I remember your earlier 191cm 102FR being a decent amount wider than 102mm and don’t think I saw weights but would have thought the 191cm was around 2150-2200gr range.

Your 185cm Enforcer 110 would be the lighter versions without the carbon chassis but the problem with Enforcers still is their lower turning radius and not loving going straight. Fun up to a certain speed but always wanting to turn. Great ski and lots of fun off trail.

The CT 3.0 is much more stable and damp than the 102FR and the 191cm 102FR definitely more fun carving at lower speeds than the 190cm CT 3.0.

184cm CT 3.0 is more playful and fun than the 190cm version and even the 184cm/191cm 102FR off piste or in bumps. 184cm CT 3.0 is a super fun ski that can still out charge most longer skis in this range. It’s even rarer than the 190cm length to find now though.

Ik it’s not in my range like I asked but I’m getting a Ranger 102 in bright ass pink, thanks for all the suggestions boys

good choice they fuckin rip and they pink, get them while you can tho its a completely different ski for '23. The new model reminded me of the faction dictator or nordi enforcer, wasnt a huge fan. also theyre not pink.

I skied the new one and hated it, can’t believe they changed it

our rep said it was to make it more appealing to a boarder amount of skiers. I guess old people are still afraid of "twintips" or something lmao.

Yeah I was told the same thing it’s just a pity because it was a great ski and they dumbed it down to the point where any aggressive skier will just be able to fold the thing
