tweakage question

i've been trying to work on my grabs and making em more styley....

with mutes, i can grab my ski at the right place but cant get it to look tweaked...

so my question is, do you approach it like a backscratcher and then grab and if so, any tips on backscratchers (specificallly timing)? or am i doing something wrong with the timing or not pulling hard enough?

any tips would be much appreciated!

 
just grab the ski, pull to tweak, and aim the foot you're not grabbing towards the ground.

but remember that a un-tweaked grab aint a bad thing

 
Grab it first by bringing your knees up to your chest a bit, then extend your waist and arch your back, as well as tweaking back and to the side with your arm.

 
as far as tweaking a mute, i'd say pull your ski straight up and slightly back with you hand and sort of push out you chest and arch your back slightly this wil get you the semi-backscratcher action you're looking for, try to time it so you're fully tweaked at the peak of your air.

tweakin is generally made easier by moving your legs wih the rab- not just pulling with your hand- just do whatever feels steezy, and it usually will be

 
I'm with BamBam, arching your back MAY be key to getting it pulled back.

it depends what your steez is with mutes....i've seen dope ones to the side, not pulled anywhere, or to the back..

like in spins, i usualy pull them to the side, not super crossed, just way out there. straight, i'll put them super far back ,off of like a table. and have like perfect right angles, kinda.

it's key to ...

grab the binding aread of your top ski, and just push/pull super hard back or to the side, whatever you're doing. no, NOT super hard, your legs should do the work for you. your arms are just to direct you, your legs use the muscle. keep that in mind, and update us on your progress.

yeah word to the most of the tweakage being about your legs not pulling with your arms, I pull with my arm but it's only really to keep shit tight while I bring my legs back. oops
