Twalls Died Need New Skis

Hey Guys My Twalls lasted less then a season. I need news skis but I don't really know what to get. I loved the flex of the Twalls and I just need a dedicated park ski (as I have a pair of volkl Revolt 104s as my all mountain ski). I've been looking at either Faction Prodigy 1 or 2, Armada Bdog, Armada Edollo or Armada ARV 96. for reference I'm about 5ft 8, 60kg and I do both rails and jumps but preferably jumps. I'm starting to learn cork 7s, SW corks etc. I can only get my skis through the local ski shop so has to be mainly from larger ski companies. anyone got any ideas? thanks!

I’d probably just pick the lightest of the skis you want. Not sure what that is, also if ur still growing you might wanna consider that when choosing

Edollo or bdogs, prodigies are not gonna be durable

honestly I wouldn’t consider edollos or bdogs durable either. About half of the pairs of armadas I’ve seen (that friends have had or whatever) experienced sidewall delamination and there’s nothing you can do to fix it. Sounds like you’re going pretty hard too so this will probably happen.

I’d ask your shop if they can special order to a smaller brand like ON3P, moment, or Icelantic. All 3 extremely durable ski designs and your sidewall won’t blow up (unless your edge has kicked the bucket and completely fell out and you didn’t do anything to seal the gap that was there).

You honestly might not even need another set of skis. I have a couple homies who consistently rip the 104s in the park and love them

You actually don’t. 104s are a freestyle ski that happens to ski all mountain too

atomic bent 90 looks kinda sick

i have actually heard good things about the prodigys, they are lot more sturdy than what people say on here

yeha i rocked the 104s in the park for a season and they where sick, there just a pretty big ski for my size and i didn’t like having to throw around that much weight

nah i’ve tried asking them. the skis hav only gotta last about 2-3 seasons bc i have this local replacement deal thing so do u reckon the armadas would last atleast that?

if i got edollo or Bdogs does anyone know which ones would be better for me? like how do the skis compare to each other in how they ski and there flex?

Yeah I think so as long as you take care of your shit. If you’re a religious rail rat and ride your skis until they don’t slide on snow you can make it forsure as long as you take care of your shit. File edge cracks, epoxy gaps, don’t keep your skis on the rack overnight in the cold, etc.

i work in the ski tuning shop occasionally and i’m good mates with a lot of the guys who work there full time so the skis get a lot of love bahahaha. i’m also not the mahdest rail skier and ive acc only just started enjoying them tbh, otherwise i mainly just chill on jumps

I would recommend the prodigy 1.0, I haven’t personally ridden it but I’ve skied dogs and dollos. Personally I found the dollos good for park and some all mountain but for a pure park ski, I wanted something a little faster (ie. shorter radius, smaller under foot, less edge on snow). From what I heard the prodigy fits this. All option you listed are decent skis though and would all be enjoyable to ski.

I've skied park skis with a smaller underfoot then 90 and i just feel there to skinny so kind looking at something in the 90-98 underfoot range. out of the edollo and the Bdog which ski did u like better and what where the noticeable differences and characteristics of the skis.

Facts. Dylan Deschamps absolutely rips on the bent 90s and makes them look kinda fun

I think that the Bdogs are more softer overall than the edollo which includes the underfoot, tip and tail but since the edollo is harlauts signature ski you'll still be able to do nose buttersmregardless of the stiffness

The prodigies will be excellent while they last. And, if he's still growing it can't hurt to try stuff.

That is true but i heard that factions durability isn't the best but it could be a great budget ski like I got such as the honey badgers to still progress in the park and still not break the bank.
